This team has no reliable end game go to scorer besides TMAC

The loss against the Lakers today showed to me that the Rockets still do not have a reliable go to scorer at the end of the game, something I think the Rockets desperately need besides TMAC. Yao is not a reliable go to scorer at the end of games. He's clumsy, slow with the ball, and the offense is so stagnant when they try to get him involved. I get really nervous when Yao's teamate try to pass him the ball. I always think Yao will lose it or have it poked away or have his shot blocked. I was really hoping Mike James would the other end game go to scorer but he hasn't played too well besides the early games.

You must have ignored the SA game where Yao was counted on to hit clutch baskets and delivered. He did it in the first Lakers game too, as well as the Bucks game.

Even Kobe dont finish every game. Yao is not very good. But if TMAC is finisher how come he never pass 1st round of playoff.

when we have a lead, going to yao is not as much a problem b/c we're not panicking for baskets. and going to him will also drag the time and we sitll end up w/ a shot.

i think it's playing from behind that's the problem

Damn I hate TOFs. They're so ANNOYING. I really want to like McGrady but I can't truly be a fan of his BECAUSE of the TOFs. They make it really hard to like this guy.

Yao missed several FTS he normally makes at the end of the game. That's about it. It's a very good option when he keeps getting FT attempts.

please consider fully, this is a b2b game ,he must be tired at the end of the game. and I wonder if YAO is pissed about the fact that Mac is injured and Steve at the end of the bench

Well, good things come to an end. He made consecutively 35 free throws, breaking his previous longest streak of 32 consecutive free throws....

But due to fatigue, and possibly also an injured thumb (or finger) which was reported by ESPN (that required some medical treatment, i.e. bandage or whatever towards end of 3Q), he missed 4 of free throws down the final stretch of the game.

But even Phil Jackson marvelled at the never-give-up spirit of Yao Ming, inentionally missing his last free throw, grabbed the rebound, and then passed it to Rafer Alston to shoot a 3-pointer to try to tie the game with 1.4 second left.

Of course Rafer Alston as usual failed to deliver !!

And such thread, obviously from YOHs, is ANNOYING, and need to be locked !!

what was wrong with that post ? how many times was the ball turned over just trying to get a damn entry pass into the post ? how many times was yao blocked tonight or forced into a terrible shot ?

i agree with his post and i am MUCH more comfortable with the ball in t-macs hands in the clutch.

I didn't say anything about McGrady.

I just said that I agree that Yao is not very good. I think I'm a better basketball player than he is.

You're crazy, and I don't know how you can call yourself a Rockets fan. It must kill you inside to know that Yao is the best center in the NBA and will be in this position for at least the next 3 years. You must cry yourself to sleep wondering why Yao is so good.

Sure. That first game in LA had nothing to do with a clutch shot late by Battier either.

Thanks SmittenPurpleEm for fighting a good fight!

I stopped responding to these Yao haters way back in the days... I'm a kind and compassionate man so I figured their sole purpose for getting up in the morning is to hate on Yao.

I won't take that away from them but I will throw that **** right back into their mugs when Yao brings us several championships!
