Would Kobe have allowed the Mavs to bullied his team mates? No matter how many hate Kobe, he still has the drive and desire to kick a$$. Heck, even T-Mac agrees that Kobe is a mad man when it comes to playing ball.

I don't think Yao would be the vagina he is today if we would have never brought McGrady to the team. I think big bad Stevie would have had more of an effect on Yao's aggresion and heart. But we got T-Mac instead, who was probably more interested in going to diddy's party tonight.

You think I'm blaming Yao for him needing a breather?

I understand the frustration you all feel. But, we all knew we would have a transition period and we are 5 games into it.

    Good times will come soon.

On top of everything else, I'd like to add that Yao still doesn't understand that dominating isn't just an act, it's a persona. He had a wide open dunk where he could have absolutely crushed the goal and taken Brandon Bass inside the rim with him for an "and 1", but instead he floated up some girly finger roll that almost rimmed out.

Some might say I should get over it because he scored anyway, but those are the same people that don't understand the mental part of the game. If Yao dunks that for an "and 1", the crowd goes nuts, and the team gets fired up, maybe we win that game. Instead, Brandon Bass probably thought to himself "Oh he's gonna put that up there? Next time I'm sending it to his parents in the crowd".

And that is just another example of how this team doesn't currently have "it".

We settled for jumpers when it counted most and we lost because of it.

That pissed me off, too. I just don't think Yao will ever understand that he can (and SHOULD) play like a monster. People should literally be afraid to play him. Instead, he and the team play the game like they're slowly solving a rubix cube.

Are the ones who bashes Yao's performance in the 4th quarter also the same people who said before that Tmac is the leader of the team, Tmac is the go-to guy, Tmac is the number 1 scorer, Tmac should be our primary option....etc? Now they are b****ing that Yao didn't win the game for us in the 4th quarter tonight. How funny.

Very nice way of putting it. ;)

But anyone else remember sometimes Otis Thorpe would be sailing in for a dunk and then he'd just turn his wrist and finger roll it?

That bothered me back then too... then later he was like the 3rd or 4th highest number of dunks in a season.

So maybe Yao will come around... some day... he needs more time... oh wait.

Bad loss, and hardly any emotion from the players. They ALWAYS let up after getting a lead, which is pathetic. What troubled me most was the way the Rockets fell apart whenever T-Mac went out of the game. Where is this offense RA was supposed to bring in? We still struggle when our perimeter superstar is out of the game, what about all that creativity? It looks like everyone's going through the motions. No hard cuts, no finishing with authority (except that Yao dunk, but that was off a PnR with T-Mac...we would have gotten that even with JVG), no intensity! What the hell is wrong with this team?

I am absolutely livid that that punk Devin Harris kept getting lay-ups in transition. STOP THE ****ING BALL! It's textbook basketball! And foul that little b**** when he comes rolling down the lane, foul him hard! It sucks to say this, but even he had more balls than the Rockets, giving hard fouls to BOTH our superstars on separate plays. Any Rocket could have sent that p***y Harris into the stands and they should have. Stop that ****ing lay-up in transition! Man, this can't continue this way, the Rockets had the win, they let the Mavs take it from them. Pathetic!

I've been sick so I missed the game catching some sleep. I read somewhere that after Harris fouled Yao, then Yao returned the favor a few minutes later. I woke up a while ago and watched the repeat of the game and Yao pussied out completely on that Harris drive, let him score and get the and1. He should done a Robert Horry on him and sent him about five rows into the crowd.

Remember when Stevie went after Amare some years ago to protect I think it was Yao!!!

Where have Mutombo's elbows gone? I would nominate Hayes to start knocking people out of bounds. It will give Scola more playing time. And who is on the Mavs' bench - Mario Elie!!!!

Who are these players, the Houston Rockettes? Do we get them sequined unis with pantyhose and skirts?

    Very very dissapointed.

This team has no balls and the main reason for this is the players dont take care of each other. They just treat each other like teammates but if you look at spurs, mavs, suns those guys are tight. They are like bum buddys.
The rockets dont stick together, they have no heart treating games like its just a job, they dont take it for granted. Im so dissapointed in them after tonights game.
Fuxk is the only word I can think of to say.

I think you have to blame a lot of this loss straight on Adelman.

Our starting lineup of Y,H,Bat,T,R owned in this game, esp. in the 1st and 3rd quarters. I know that we can't play them all game, but some of our substitutions are bizarre.

    Example:
We built a 14 point lead in the 3rd with our starters and then end it at 12 up. We start the 4th with Y, Bat, Bonz, Head, James. That group gets beaten up. With a small ball lineup tonight we got killed. We don't bring in our full starting lineup until 4:48, when our lead is only 5 points. That lineup holds it at 5 and then we switch back to a small lineup of Y, Bat, Tmac, Jam, Rafer. We proceed to lose by 6.

The small ball doesn't work against Dallas apparently. As soon as Adelman saw that, then he should have put Scola or Hayes back in.

    Any thoughts about this?

i agree. Kobe wouldn't be settling for outside jumpers in the last two minutes; he'd be driving in, forcing contact, and getting to the line.

    TMac+Luther+Future 1st for Kobe
    Rafer+Bonzi+Novak+Landry for Andre Miller
Sign Sam Cassell (after he gets bought out)

PG - Andre Miller, Cassell, Brooks
SG - Kobe, Mike James, Francis
    SF - Battier, Snyder
    PF - Hayes, Scola
    C - Yao, Deke

that team will have balls. <insert joke here that there won't be enough balls to go around for that line-up.>

    No balls!

    No guts!

    No focus!

Instead of blowing the Mavs out of the court, this team lost focus and lost the game. Devin Harris smacked the souls of T-Mac and Yao out of their bodies. OMG! The toughest guy on the court is Devin Harris.

T-Mac likes to drive and kick. Hey T-Mac, you gets pay 20 mils for kicking the ball to Alston and Battier to make a bucket!? Yao gave 'And 1' in a "heady" play in last 34 sec after being smacked by Harris. WTF!
2 soft tissues! That's what this team builds on!

    Pathetic!

yup let's trade tmac for kobe. unless it's yao becomes shaq, kobe will help this team to a first-round exit as usual.
