Inception was released in theaters on July 16 th. We still have two weeks before we get to that same point this year.
Not good so far this yr. 2011 Rango-Pretty decent. Totally different from Pixar or Dreamworks. Fast Five-dumb, fun popcorn movie. X-Men:First Class-best movie so far this summer Missed a rare chance to see Tree of Life but caught Super 8 instead. Will have to wait for video release. Captain America: The First Avenger might be my last summer movie to catch it on the big screen. Maybe: Cowboys and Aliens Rise of the Planet of the Apes Winter should be better: A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas(maybe) play trailer Puss in Boots(a high maybe) Immortals(maybe) Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol(will watch, but depends on the reviews) The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo(might give it a chance, but depends on reviews ) The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn(definitely, most anticipated movie for me this yr.)
I was hoping someone would give a shout out to Thor. That was probably the most unexpectedly amazing movie I've seen the past decade.
Maybe it's because you've seen it all before? <iframe width="560" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/H7kcqB3thJM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Movies have been sucking for quite a long time. I haven't been to the movies in years. I expect 1-2 good summer movies and a couple more sleepers during the year. Otherwise, its the same rehash of plots and themes and sequels. I have on a couple times rerented movies at redbox on accident because so many of the movies have the plot that I have forgotten I watched it.
