... and Rasheed is the guy people want on the Rockets?

Please keep him off our team.

Duncan will be guarded by Grant. Danny Ferry will be the one matching up w/Fox.

That was Will Perdue? Are you sure Dennis Rodman didn't possess him for just that shot?

They stopped Shaq two years ago, and they will again. No way the Lakers get the calls they need to beat the Spurs in the Alamodome in a Game 7. GO SPURS GO!!! ANd before that, GO KINGS! Anything to knock out the classless Lakers.

That was a great idea to interview Shaq's dad. He wasn't difficult to understand.

I would like to vote for Bob Whitset as the worst GM in the NBA. In just two seasons, he has taken a winning, talented team full of heart and emotion, and turned them into a bunch of whining sissy geezers who make guys like Rick Fox look good. This is the saddest performance I have ever seen. With Portland's talent, they should be able to manhandle the Lakers with ease. Unfortunately, talent means nothing. Chemistry is what is important, and the stupid GM Trader-Bob just completely ignored that.

It really hurts me to see what has happened to the Blazers. They had a team I could truly enjoy. The combination of Rider, Grant, Rasheed, Stoudamire, and Sabonis could have been something special. Unfortunately, Bob decided it just wasn't enough to wait a year for the young talents to mature.

Even last year they had a solid group which still featured guys like Brian Grant- a player who is the definition of heart and hustle. So, what did Trader-Bob do? He traded the team's heart and soul for an overweight, cocain-addicted joke of a former all-star. Brilliant, just brilliant.

Finally, they decided that their superb guard combination of Damon, Anthony, Wells and Smith was not enough. No, they had to add yet another player on the decline, Rod Strickland. Now, I don't think this is entirely Rod's fault. Unfortunately, he has benched a major part of the team in Greg Anthony, and put pressure on the starting point guard. That's just what you need when you have the top team in the western conference: chemistry problems.

I am sure that if the 35-15 99 Blazer team had been kept together, they would be the defending champions right now.

I feel sorry for Coach Mile Dunleavy. I don't think there's much he could do to coach this team any better. If he was the general manager, then I am sure this would be a different team right now. Unfortunately, he is likely going to be fired short of a Blazer-Playoff Miracle. In reality, it is Bob Whitsett who should be fired.

That 99 Blazer team drew me in because of their fabulous chemistry, so now they are going to drive me out because of their giant lack of it.

Ugh, yet another blowout playoff game. This could be the most boring postseason of all time.

That was two years ago, even I can see that Shaq has improved his game, and Kobe is light years ahead of where he was two years ago. Los Angeles is playing better ball right now, but it will be an awesome series.

I bet the Lakers will win a series with the Spurs just to shut up all of the doubters that think their championship should have an asterisk because Duncan was out.

Should be an awesome series though.

I agree with most of what you said, except:

    1) I'm not so sure they would have been NBA champs.
    2) I didn't think the game was boring. Sloppy near the end, but watching a team self-destruct is never boring.
    3) Dunleavey has to shoulder some of the blame for either going along with the personell moves Whitsitt made, or not taking a stand. I don't think he's that great a coach, but even he had to see that this wouldn't work.

I even think that last year's choking team could have been champions this year. All they should have done is moved Sheed to the 3, Grant to the 4, and bench Pippen. Instead, they traded Grant away.

Everything Fox does is expressly ordered by Phil(except the hair). That charge in the first minutes right into Pippen - on purpose. I'm suprised they haven't used him to bait Wallace yet.

I don't understand why everyone hates Shaq so---perhaps it comes with being in the Western conference...

Just like there will never be another Dr. J or Magic Johnson or Larry Bird or Michael Jordan, there will never be another Shaq. To see a guy that size as nimble and athletic, and with the ability to score that he has is something special. I watch and enjoy...

This was a good basketball game till the Blazers got frustrated. I look forward to the Spurs series. But unless Duncan just goes absolutely BONKERS they lose--especially if the Lakers play as well as they are now.

The Blazers are going to try and make sure some Lakers are missing for the first game or two of the next series though...they feel insulted at having to see Shaq hit a technical free throw on them.

Know who I feel for? Steve Smith and Greg Anthony. They seem better than this mess.

Is Scott Pollard the next Dennis Rodman? Take it either way you want. Rodman started out slowly with his weirdness too. Actually, at a comparable point in his career, Pollard is much more advanced.
