Achebe, so I also have to listen to this quote by the owner of Utah....

I mean, if the Freak can say I'm lying because the Shandon never said something...it is very convenient to say an old boss can't be believed.

The NBA is a business. Players have agents to advise them to say things correctly....can we all remember "Bull Durham" for the layman inclined.

How do Shandon's diplomatic comments make Miller's diplomatic statements a lie.

I wasn't really trying to bash Rudy. I just think it seems weird that two players would be complaining about having to camp out at the three point line. After all, its not Rudy's fault when Shandon doesn't try and take it into his own hands. Rather than just trying to pop a three he could either fake it and drive to the hoop or take a step in and hit a jump shot. I feel that Shandon plays a very important role on this team and rather than trying to place blame on others, like Scotty did, he should take it upon himself to create opportunities for himself. One major thing that could improve positively would be if we were able to pick up a big man that can rebound well and throw outlet passes, that way we would have Francis back on offense pushing the tempo more often.

I think the reason Pippen and Anderson are having similar results with the Rockets is b/c they had success playing a certain way for a different team.

If I was awesome at posting up smaller guards, I'd think the new team I was with would try to do the same thing.

If my strength was posting up and coach is asking me to become a jump shooter, I'd blame the offense too.

    I'd also go somewhere else.

Who did we have success with at the 3?

    Robert Horry

Robert Horry sucked most of the time, he played good D, but he hardly ever showed up. He was supposed to be the second coming of Scottie Pippen and all he did was show up every once in a while. We almost traded him he was so unproductive with us. The reason we had success with him though was b/c he didn't demand the ball, he played great D, and he could hit the outside shot more times than not.

The D Horry played is different than Anderson's D. Horry could block shots, so you could put him on a bigger guy for a short amount of time and he could hold his own for a minute or 2. He could also play help defense which Shandon really can't do that effectively b/c of his height.

IMO we need a Robert Horry clone at the 3, either that or an OT clone at the 4.

I say keep Anderson at the 3 if we can find a strong PF in the free agency market, or let SA go and draft a tall athletic 3 and keep Mo at the 4.

I don't see much success with this team if we have both Mo and SA starting b/c SA's too small for his position and Mo can't play like a Power Forward.

If we can't get any free agent PF's or SF's, then I'd prefer we resign Mo and draft the SF and let Anderson go to a team that could better utilize his talents as a shooting guard.

I had alot of things on my mind when I typed this so if what I said made very little sense, my apologies.

I agree with HP that winnning would help everyone be happier.
Right now we use a system that takes advantage of our 2 best players (Francis & Mobley). Problem is noone else gets as many touches as they would like. Dream wasn't happy at the 1st of the year, Shandon isn't happy, I think Cato (even though his opinion shouldn't count anyways) complained about touches, Mos number are down from prior years.
My point is people complained early in MJs years when he took all the shots, but once they started winning most of that stopped.

Problem is how long until we have a winning team. If it's only a year away then it's not too bad, but if we ar ein a 2-5 year project, then by the time we are ready to win that most of our other quality players will be gone and other FAs will see that noone outside of our guards get many touches and we may not be as inviting of destination.

    Just my .02
