I don't think we have much of a chance to win, but we'll definitely compete. Some teams can't even say that much. I'm proud to be a Rockets fan regardless of the outcome. It sure is depressing though.
I don't root for the Rockets to be realistic. If I want realism, I have my real life. If I wanted to be realistic, I might have lost interest in the Rockets years ago. The Lakers still have to win twice more before the Rockets are eliminated. Until that happens, the Rockets are still alive!!!! GO ROCKETS! Kick some Laker ass!
I'm sorry, but I don't buy it. I'm glad someone does. I don't think we're much worse off without Yao. We're not better off without him, though. I think we can take a game from them. We're not taking them 7, sorry. That's not to say I won't be rooting for them. I'd be thrilled to eat crow on that particular statement.
I just want the Rockets to go out there and give the Lakers hell. Win or lose I just want to see them fight and I know they will not disappoint.
we should embrace what we have, not bemoan what we're missing. We are playing against Goliath...and we are definitely David. Tomorrow is one game. Just one game. And anything can happen in just one game. BELIEVE!
If we end up pulling 1 more win against the Lakers, then that game would probably be one of the best games I will ever see in my entire life. However the chances of that happening is slim, very very slim. I can see Bynum starting again, to take advantage of the shorter line up. Damn Lakers.
Brothers!! this is far from over!! let's go Rockets!! let's do it for Yao! I'm so proud of this team right now... I'm so proud of our city.. Clutch City baby!! 4 LIFE!!
We still have a remote chance because of Artest, the smallest of margins though, I'd say a 5% chance of winning this series.
Without Yao's scoring we ABSOLUTELY MUST start wafer and hope he goes off for 30+ He is our only hope right now to keep up with the lakers offensively
Go Chuck! We are tough. Rockets won't give up. We are led by Artest. Not the brightest, but for sure, he will not give up. Instead, he will even push the limits. He'll try harder, which will have all the young players try harder. We gotta be more focus now, especially Brooks, Wafer, and Artest.
There is still a reasonable chance of winning tomorrow at home. The chance of winning 3 out of the next four though is not very likely looking at it objectively. Of course it won't keep me from cheering the Rockets on regardless. It is extremely frustrating to have so much tied up in Tmac and Yao and having them both be so injury prone year after year. I respect Yao's effort and toughness, and I know he tries every thing he can to rehab and, where as Tmac comes across as much more suspect there. But both of them are highly likely to have injuries that either knock them out for the year, or have them perform at significantly lower than franchise player levels. Yao also suffers from being one of the only franchise players in the league that can be fronted by a random scrub and denied the ball for quarters at a time. The combination of those factors will weigh heavily on the Rockets as they decide what direction the franchise is going to go over the next few years and beyond.
