    *smacks noob*

What're you laughin' at, rook? You want some hazing too?

-For the record, this season could prove that TMac is soft AND that VanGundy had the wrong vision for the team.

You are being bashed because no matter what happens this season, neither of your points can be proven.

If we get to the playoffs and Tmac averages 35 points and 8 assists a game, but we still lose in 7, does that mean he didnt lead us. What if he averages 16 points a game and we win the first round due to our talent increase. Does that make him a clutch leader now?

As for your JVG point, the offseason also has something to do with Morey taking over as well. People keep saying Morey did this because of JVG, or did that because of Adelman. Morey is the GM. He will get roasted if James, Francis, Scola and Brooks all flop. So for now he should get credit for bringing them in and the excitement it has generated.

Besides, this is the best offseason in what two or three years when Tmac was brought in. Its not like the team hasnt made major moves in the past few years.

Was that a rhetorical who are you? Like who the heck are you bringing junk in here.

A who are you as in you actually want to know who I am?

Or a who are you as in reference to my post of some people have something to say... some people have to say something?

Guessing it is the last one. It really just depends on the day. I usually don't pass up an attempt to be funny. Not always successful, but always trying.

the two things aren't diametrically opposed. both tmac and jvg might not have had the personnel to win last season.

That is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard. It didn't prove that Shaq and Kobe are losers. It proved that Phil Jackson (and his 9 rings) was a stubborn old fart that completely screwed them out of building a team that could actually compete for a 4th title... :D

I agree with the thread creator, about proving T-Mac's loserness or JVG's phaildness

Scientific method my man. The only way to prove this is to give Adelman the exact same cast and GM as JVG had, and even then the league will be different than what it was last year.

Frankly, I place a greater amount of blame for past failures on CD rather than JVG. He's the guy who drafted Dickerson, Bryce Drew, and Mirsad Turkan over Rashard Lewis, traded Richard Jefferson and change for Eddie Griffin, gave Kelvin Cato an awful contract and was a party to the complete deconstruction of Houston as a basketball town after the two championships. At the very least, you can't blame JVG for the Francis era. This isn't to say that CD wasn't a good GM at one point in time; but everybody loses their edge as they age, and CD just stayed on too long. Just look at all the marbles being lost this very second in Congress.
