Is this guy serious? When many experts are picking the Rockets team, which has not won a single playoff series in over ten years, to win the NBA championship, or at least get past the vaunted laker to get to the Finals, you say this team is being underrated? And the best team since Jordan's bulls? I seriously question your basketball IQ

Haha well we could have said that for years now. Thats the big IF and is what always get us.

Anyways to the OP, I think if anything we are overrated. I mean we are unproven but analysts everywhere somehow pick us as contenders off the bat. And comparing us to Jordan's Bulls team? I would like to hear your rationale for that.

My BB IQ is all right. I'm one of the first if not the first one on this board said Rockets should go for Ron and could get him with the expired contracts and draft picks years ago.

Here I said lakers is fakers unless they can get a true all star by giving up Odam. They need a true all star like Matrix who's a defense force and can help team without ball. It may happened

I think the point guard position is not as dire as many people around here think, but I do think we need some more size up front. Their lack of length would be a problem in the playoffs against the Lakers, or Celtics.

Before we say we are sooooooooo underrated, we should show the world about how good we are by dominating. Respect is gain from action not given by simple talk.

Yes, on paper we are talented, but I haven't seen out domination yet. This is still a young season, though, so please be patient. I believe by the end of this season we will get the respect we deserved.

Did you guys watch ESPN shootaround? They all said the Lakers, New Orleans, Jazz, and Spurs were among the favorites. Then they said Houston was questionable with their health. I think you can say the health thing to every team so it is kind of biased. However, I like being under the radar it makes this team hungrier. Trust me by the end of this week, there will be a ton of people talking about us.

Once again it will be the health of the team but this year Yao needs a true backup center. His minutes need to be lessen through the season, so that come playoff time he will not be tired and physically beaten down.

The big question mark with this team is how healthy they will be come May and June.

If we have a healthy Yao, T-mac, Francis and others - yeah, we'll be great. BUt that's a huge ? for us that other teams don't have to sweat as much.

T-mac is the walking wounded, and Yao's legs are made out of glass it seems.

I think we have to prove we can stay healthy, more than anything else.

i dont know guys but if you are asking me, i dont think that the rockets are underated. In fact i think that they are given due respect.example the ppl from TNT excluding charles barkley all say that this is a deep houston team that can have a very special season..Reggie even predicted our team to reach the finals and face the celtics.

And also on the other networks they may rank us from 3-5 place in the west and to me i dont know about y'all but i think those predictions are fair enough because the rockets havent proven anything yet.You need to earn respect before you are given it.

if you take a look on paper, the talent pool of the lakers hornets and the rockets-all are very deep and talented except maybe for the hornets bench..but we all have the same excuses..if Bynum was healthy or if Yao and rafer TMAC and battier were healthy...blah blah blah..

i think we arent underated we have recognition in the league as a beast in the west and im sure all coaches and players in the league know what the rockets are all about..they all saw how we won games last season w/out YAO or TMAC and the addition of RON only makes us better...BOTTOM LINE we gotta prove it on the court...

And for us to go anywhere and make some noise...well nothing new..we just have to stay healthy...there's that health issue again..

i cant wait for the boston game..that would be a good measuring stick to see where we are defensively offensively and a team as a whole.SO GO ROCKETS AND WHOOP SOME ***

I believe that after we play the Celtics and the Lakers we'll truly know where this team stands. As of now, I think this team still has a lot to work on. This team will be way better come mid-season.

I'm more interested in the meaning of the thread starter's username.

    What does "bjshot" mean?

Is it getting a bj and taking a shot of whiskey at the same time?

Is it a view of somebody getting a bj?

Did somebody named bj get shot?
