Just saw it was posted in the TyTy thread as well, but I.D.I.O.T. Looking forward to seeing TyTy with Green, Alpi, Tari, Bari later this season. I am sure he will at least be MUCH better than Nix, and possibly the best PG on the team, in no time.
nope...but even if, Nix sucks in so many other ways...yes, he can hit threes, but he is not a good point guard who gets others involved, while protecting the ball and hustling
tyty stayed there for so long after the shot... he himself was stunned...?! These moves reminds me of KG!
Against worst defender in the world. Guy just took a dive for no reason. I was going to say TyTy was a hot dog for just standing there afterwards.... but it looked like he was amazed the guy went down over nothing. Probably felt he was being pranked
Yup, actually no comparison: bari has no post game yet, can't put the ball on the floor, not mention perform a basic left to right crossover, has zero burst at the rim or touch. his body control and footwork both look extremely stiff and awkward. but i gotta say bari's mid-range pull up does remind me KG, n his 3s beyond the arc got durantesque.
James Harden is rolling over in his grave watching these rockets play! Maybe he can come here after his contract is up and be that vet PG everyone wants lol It looks impossibly bad...OK, he falls down but why does he keep rolling like that? I think TyTy stood there because they were calling a timeout. They just let the ball bounce all the way to mid court.
He has the extremely lanky build for sure and he copied some of the shooting form but that is no guarantee for any greatness. I rewatched his Auburn tapes, his form and release doesn't strike me as special or particularly fast but they went in mostly. I wouldn't mind him being a copycat. He could still end up being a 19 and 9 guy. Same as Wood but different player type.
Understood, greatness is something 'born to be' - when ppl saw SAS collecting 3 young prospects in two consecutive draft classes, based on their incredible performance, it occurred to ppl THAT young spurs gonna be something SPECIAL. But being critical of the flaws of young players is one thing, witnessing a whole process of their development or sometimes redemption is the other. With regard to rebuilding, the latter draws much of my attention - we gotta lower down our bars/expectations to kids, afterall TD, Parker n Gino ain't always available (in every draft night), therefore witnessing the development of a couple of role players might not be that bad for a fan like me, at least bari's one explosive night showing me he does have something in his bag, copycat or poorman's sb, whatever you name it, he's finding back his confidence now, THAT'S wht sports all about.
This but still considering Mathurin with the 3rd pick, I know, it's hindsight now. It isn't bad to care about NBA ready players either who can come off the bench. I know CF would be mad..... This whole floor high ceiling high discussion is a tad overrated IMO when players have similar outlooks. Scouts trying to put their stamp on the draft.
