The Bulls vs Knicks rivalry in the early to mid 90s was the best in the East. I don't recall Minnesota ever making the playoffs until the 1997 season when they were swept by the Rockets. Golden State, San Antonio, Dallas, Seattle? I think you failed to mention the good teams. Portland, Los Angeles, Houston was always in the playoffs, Utah , Phoenix. I think Seattle was good, and San Antonio was good.
They have Lebron, and he hasn't dissapointed yet. Something to think about. One player can change the balance of power.
So? Lebron could take his team 82-0, win them the championship, and that wouldn't change the fact the other seven east playoff teams couldn't hold the 8th place in the west's jock.
Your're right, it would only show that the East won six championships in a row. Which is all anyone remembers.
Just an update for today... 76ers record = .500 (position: first place in division) Grizzlies record = .500 (position: dead last in division) It's really sad how weak the east is...
its only going to get worse with the new divisions next year. What irritates me are the rankings that list: (1) Lakers. Blah blah blah (2) Pacers. Blah blah blah half the west could take on the Pacers, how are they even remotely close to #2. A team in the east should have the best record in the league.
It sure is funny that the east could not win a championship once Micheal retired. .,.Both times. Not the talented Knicks or the talented Magic.
hahahaha... How many times did they square off in the playoffs, like once or twice? Ya, that's just so "amazing".
