Strait up, I thought the Jamele Hill rant just below that vid was equally fantastic.

But let's be serious, if Melo was here, we might be 20-0 right now. Yes, Ariza has lifted us on D, but Harden has went from 0 to Hero on D as well. Melo might have bought into it just like James, and we wouldn't falter down the stretch as much (yea, he's played bad last few games [melo]).

Ill say this, I like the way this team is progressing, and constructed. Just wish we could pry Ed Davis from Fakerland and Korver from Lamelanta.

    Career loser also chose Melo...

He is, easily, my least favorite player in the NBA. They are coached by my least favorite player in the history of the game. The Knicks woes are really entertaining me. What a joke of a franchise. How long until Derek Fisher is thrown under the bus and out the door?

    LOL @ Knicks

Lowry + Ariza! Had being wonder that. Was that possible in terms of salary cap?

Sure. If we could've had Bosh for around 20 mil give or take, Lowry at 12 and Ariza at 8 would've worked. Oh well, live and learn.

I was one of those dudes who prayed to god he didn't sign with us. I really thought him and Harden wouldn't work. Thank god he didn't come here. Blessing in disguise

Melo plays basketball in real life like how I play MyCareer in 2k15. Call for the ball until I get it and only pass when I can't get a shot, which is hardly ever.

I would not consider a player that went to the WCF and winning a college national championship by himself a career loser. Chucker yes, career loser no.

Melo is pretty much on par (or slightly below) with Harden.

Him staying in New York was not a blessing in disguise for us.

Our two biggest weaknesses: rebounding and turnovers are the two things he absolutely excels at.

I don't know if you guys have noticed how hard our team crashes when Harden exits the game, but having a Carmelo Anthony to run the show when Harden sits would have made this team practically unbeatable.

No matter how bad New York is now, losing out on Melo was a huge blow.

While I certainly agree Lowry should have been our #1 priority in the off-season, I do not think he signed with Toronto because we pursued Melo. Lowry was fielding offers at the time, he heard we wanted him and even met with us first. Toronto knew many teams wanted to sign him. They put 4 years, $48 million on the table and maybe said something like the offer will expire by the end of the day and that they thought it was fair if he wanted to come back. A fair tactic considering it was a fair offer. He saw the money and he took it while it was there.

Lowry is 28 and that was his first near max contract. He wasn't going to pass up on a sure thing. I would have done the same thing, especially considering how close the Rockets were to signing Bosh. Imagine if Lowry had decided to wait and Bosh heard about this? Maybe he would have changed his mind and taken another look at Houston. You never know. Especially considering Lowry played for several NBA teams including Houston and Toronto. And remember, Lowry passed on Houston for Toronto. That may have influenced Bosh in his decision.

But yea, the list wasn't a good idea in hindsight. Especially with the way LeBron treated us and how Melo seemed to consider the abysmal Lakers over the Rockets. Who knows why he dislikes the Rockets. Things almost worked with Bosh until Miami got desperate I guess. I still think we should have made Lowry #1 and played it safe. If Bosh was gonna wait for James then so be it. We could still ask LeBron and Melo if they want to play for Houston before we used all our cap space and then quickly forgot all about them.

I do not agree. Melo makes players around him worse. Harden makes players around him better.

At some point is Melo ever going to be responsible for the teams he's on? The Knicks' record right now is an embarrassment, and they play in one of the worst conferences ever. I am tired of everyone just blaming everyone else on the team but Melo.

    DO. NOT. WANT.

I agree, it was an outright blessing, it wasn't disguised at all.

I couldnt understand why many people here were so crazy about wanting him to come here, i didnt like him since his Denver days. After he got traded to NY, Denver were actually a better team. Him coming here would make Harden a less better player than he is today. Both Harden and Melo would never work out. Melo is one of my most hated player in the NBA. Thank god we didnt get him!!
