Rick Smith has no balls. He hoards his late round picks so he can use them on players who won't succeed. This is despicable.
Maybe they just didn't like Bridgewater...? This could easily have been BOB's call. Let BOB decide who he wants to groom.
Without arguing about whether they should have traded up today, the point about him hoarding late picks is true. For someone who has missed only nearly every pick he's made out of the top rounds, it's shocking that he values them so much.
Could have moved up for Manziel, and that's much more disappointing. Oh well, at least we got Clowney. In the end, B Ob didn't want anything to do with Johnny Football, because the Texans could have traded back into the first round. Gutless.
you couldnt have asked for a more favorable drop of a QB like Teddy, only to see him get stolen a pick before yours...I can guarantee that the Texans fumbled this one...They were actually excited and surely wouldve pick Teddy tom if he was on the board. Well thank God they didnt fck up the #1 pick
They didn't like Bridgewater or Manziel, but they like Fitzpatrick and Ryan ****ing Mallett (probably). This franchise has been run by idiots since day 1.
I don't understand why a team without a qb avoids qbs like the plague. I wonder if the texans war room are high fiving themselves for a job well done.
rick smith should have been fired months ago. dude wanted mack...which i understand. not with the first pick...if you can find a good trade back, fine. but this team clearly needs a QB, and we have the depth in picks to make it happen, and smith sat on his hands and hoped for the best. this is the nfl, buddy. things dont just fall into your lap. you have to go out and get it done. BOB and co. may not have liked manziel or teddy. But those are the only available franchise QBs left. Carr, Jimmy G, Savage....i dont care whos left. they arent franchise, super bowl winning QBs. absolutely pathetic. f rick smith. i cant believe BOB had to hold his neck out for clowney. IS SMITH THAT DELUSIONAL????
Has Rick Smith ever move up in the 1st round to get a player he covets? This is another "Brandon Roy flashback" against Houston in less than a week.
