Remember when they were our Big 3 and Parsons were our glue guy? Even though they were a young team, they play with heart and had good chemistry. I think it was a mistake when we brought Howard to Houston and Asik in my opinion was a better fit. Our team chemistry started deteriorating when we treated Omar Asik like yesterday's trash. From them on... everyone felt uneasy.

Omar's face here sums up perfectly the tragedy that befalls the houston rockets.

Clearly, it all went downhill when we traded Asik and Lin.

    Their teams are dominating now

Don't ever want to see Asik's sulking face on the bench

He brought it for one season and that was it and his poison pill contract did not help

I am glad Lin and Parsons are gone. They were a HORRIBLE defensive duo. They had a very low defensive IQ, often unnecessarily switching, getting caught out of position and playing with the brights of a turnip.

Yes are record was so great Thar year.... and it is not like you could have used last year as an example when we did play well.

Each individual piece don't represent the strength of a team. It's about team chemistry, most teams don't have it. But when a special team has it, you don't break them up. You let it mature. Losing Parsons imo hurt us the most. I also miss some of the bench we used to have like Delfino and Garcia.

This team went farther and gave us the best playoff memories since the 90s!
    (Arguably with 2009 team)

Look at Harden. He was much skinnier and his muscles were much more defined back then.

asik now a 15mpg center on a starting center's salary
lin a rotation player on a hobbled and barely 500 playoff team

Yes, our current defensive woes would certainly benefit by bringing back perennial defensive stalwarts Lin and Parsons.

Don't really need to go back to the Lin/Parsons years. The Rockets had chemistry last year.

Lin has pretty much stayed the same... inconsistent, whereas Asik has turned into a terrible contract that Pellies can't even dump.

its true that rockets with harden, lin, parsons had better winning percentage than rockets this season as of today.

so i guess the chemistry is better back then?

That's when Harden wasn't full of himself.
