Francis out top, 9 seconds on the clock, he gives a no look pass to Cuttino Mobley, 4 seconds left, Mobley passes to an open Langhi in the corner with 1 second left! Langhi at the buzzer.......YES!!! How Sweet It Is!!

I know you are being flamed left and right here, but if you read what is being posted you will not only learn why this is happening, but you will be better prepared next time.

Now, assuming you are a genuine newbie and do not have some alterior motive to act so ... now don't take this personal ... aw, forget it ... you'll just get pissed ...

    ...................................................

Anyway Ty, here are some easy rules that all serious posters, even the crazy ones (you know who you are), follow to make this an interesting and exciting community Rocket's board (bored?).

    How to get along Rules

    1. This is a BBS. Not a chat room. Most newbies assume because there is some fairly quick responses and one-on-one posts here, that it is a chat room. Chat rooms are historically frivolous, brief encounters with running conversational commentary/communication. A Bulletin Board Service, however, is similiar to that "free post-it board" you find in the entrances to Wal-Mart and K-Mart. This BBS happens to have guys who have known one another (through the board) for several years. So we know who is on and when. A chat type of atmosphere does prevail at times. Just read/listen and try not to get too confused or caught up in the chat-like thing. You'll be burned, and real nasty-like, for wasting bandlength.

    2. Some posters have biting, stabbing, and not too kind sarcasm and repartee (def: a witty comeback), and if taken too serious, you'll end up having to adjust your underwear frequently (Def: tight assed about superfulous comments). No one needs or likes to be belittled, but face it, if someone posts an outrageous comment, they better expect some flak.

    3. Try to read and use the proper forum. This one is about Rockets Game and Roster Moves. Central to the topic is a DIRECT connection between the topic and the Rockets players or a specific game. Commenting on Cyndi Lauper's new hairdo is a no-no. We all widen the topic from time to time, especially in the off-season, but expect The Conformity Police to jump the southend of your northbound train if you do this. Other forums are for other topics. You can read them as easily as I can typoe them. I know you get the picture now.

    4. The threads (topics) that are started here should have some meaningful and "DESCRIPTIVE" intent about the REAL THOUGHT, behind the enclosed posts. Staring a topic in this forum titled "Vince Coming to Houston" and posting a long an exhaustive paragraph on Vince McMann and the WWF who will be in town promoting the head-hold that "The Animal" invented and practiced on bystanders at the airport, is an example of stupidity and you will be called on to kiss major butt to erase the memory.

    5. Most importantly ... despite some angry exchanges, serious head to head b****ing, and real down and out donnybrooks between some members ... we all get along pretty well, and are bound by our undying fanaticism for the Rockets. And ... now rocket, surf, freak, cabbage, almu, jeff, HP, etc ... don't get misty on me here ... but also an inexplicable affection for one another.

    6. So, post as often as you wish, but use some common sense. If you have nothing to say, don't worry, just read and post nothing, or type an "I agree" if you feel the urge. You are not obligated to post anything. But you are obligated to use some common sense. We do not pay for this BBS. We don't send cash to our friend Clutch (who owns and operates this), he only asks for respect for the Board (clutchcity.net), respect for others and a little common sense.

    Easy, huh?

Cool Runnings Tybrand. Enjoy your stay.

Essentially the top two players to come out of college the last couple of years are Duncan, Carter, and Francis.

geez oilly, I wouldn't have put so much effort into educating someone who appears to be a troll. Are you going to post your analysis of preseason game 2? I enjoyed the first.

No. I was just overcome with relief that the season had actually started, and I guess I got carried away. But it was fun to here some intelligent, basketball-oreiented posts from all of you guys again.

    Cheers.
