No way man. Have ya seen our record against Dallas? We've lost 5 in a row and lost 7 out of the last 9 games against them. No, I'd much rather have us play Sacramento, Minnesota, or L.A. Definitely NOT Dallas or San Antonio. We just don't match up well against them. Man, I hate that we're the b**** of the Texas Triangle. One day, one day..........

    Worst case scenario:
The Rox make the playoffs but get swept in the first round. The organization views making the playoffs as a success and no changes are made. We lose our draft pick and repeat the same thing next year. Rox end up on a treadmill, not realizing that they are the Minny T-Wolves of the past 5 years and won't advance without improving the team.

Are you serious??? Wow. I know Okafor is good, but Yao is clearly on the path to being a dominant player.

Great! A CUT to any "trade scenarios". :D

Exactly. Hopefully you guys could really be consistent in these 30 games.

EITHER PUT UP OR SHUT UP, EITHER STAND FIRM OR BREAK DOWN, EITHER BE BIG OR BURN OUT! NO OTHER CHOICES!

    I disagree with your statement.

Worst case scenario is us NOT making the playoffs. Getting to the playoffs (even being swept) is somewhat a success. Although I dont think being swept is something they would be happy about.

Honestly, I believe changes will be made REGARDLESS. I think the only way changes wont be made is if we can push into the 2nd round. This team still has a number of holes which I think will be addressed in the offseason.

Why write this article? What's Feigan's agenda?

Geez, it's only until Thurs. This seems a bit premature. Write an article about percieved value or league impressions today, write the no-trade apology Fri.

Agenda??? His agenda was to discuss the trade rumors with JVG, and JVG said they are standing pat.

He writes this article every year around this time.

Seems you are basically upset with the fact that Cat and/or Steve won't be traded more than you are with Feigen.

not to break topic here but, just a second ago I saw a thread titled, "OMG Steve Francis TRADED" or something to that effect and now it's gone. I couldn't access it because I am not a contributing member... yet. (I read the site daily but I can't get that paypal thing to work for me)

Can a "Contributor" share with us this obviously false news or why it was so hastily removed?

    Yeah.

This is your team, guys. Show 'em some love the rest of the way.

I'm behind every player and every coach. Time to Be Big.

If there was such a thread, an admin would have removed it as soon as they found it. They don't like false information being spread on this board. I wonder who the thread-starter was and if he's still around.

Posted this in the other thread but...

    Thank God.

Francis is my favorite Rocket, and I think he is also the best Rocket. This is still his team, he is still The Franchise.

This team can win, but only if Yao is willing to co-exist with the leader of this team.

My prediction? Rockets rise to the challenge and surge to the 4th seed.

    What? No it's not.
Yao can coexist with anyone, he's not very demanding.

I think this must be sarcasm, right?

And whoever said the worst thing that can happen is we become Miny-T-wolves is right on target.

This is a good day for the Rockets, they all know now that this is the team and they are going to have to work with each other. We managed a decent first half even though Steve wasn't playing well and everyone was adjusting to JVG style b-ball. Steve has been playing a lot better lately and everyone seems a little more comfortable. Hopefully we can keep it up.

    Go Rockets!!

This is good news as it confirms what JVG said about using this season to get to know his players before he makes any dramatic changes. It gives more credibility to JVG that his word is as good as his bond! I expect adjustments in the offseason.

I'm glad JVG said what he said, cause I was getting tired of Peter Vescey's BS being posted everywhere. Mo for Croshere, HELL NO.

This is great news, and I will add my voice to those in favor of a ban against trade threads and rumors.
