The laws are no different for Palastinians in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Syria...etc...etc..

Funny how they all say Palastinians should have their own country but none of them will offer citizen ship in their own.

    Hypocrits.

Surely you aren't saying that if a Palestinian marries a Saudi, Irani, Iraqi and live there, they will never become a citizen of that country.

Don't know their law, but if a Palestinian marries an American they can become a US citizen.

Oh, really? The country who is by far the largest recipient of our foreign aid? And has been for years and years and... well, you get the picture. (or maybe you don't) This is the country that has always recieved our most advanced weapons systems that we export and either as aid or on the most favorable terms imaginable. THAT Israel.

And we GAVE them a powerful nuclear arsenal?
To think that I always assumed they developed it themselves while we conveniently looked the other way.

I guess I learn something new every day.

I don't have a problem with our support of the State of Israel... even if we pay a dear price for it.

I have a problem with supporting a racist Israeli government.

It's not the same, but in OUR democracy, don't we outlaw gay marriages in many states?

It's just a point that all democracies are NOT perfect

Ok Let's get some facts out there.

Instead of saying what Palestinians would do to a jewish man married to a Palestinian and living in the west bank with no evidence, let's look at who we support and what they do.

secondly the Palestinians have had elections and are to a limited degree a democracy as well. They have at least had democratic elections.

Finally I won't deny Palestinians hatred of Israel. Who here would deny Black South Africans hatred of Apartheid in South Africa? Nobody because it existed and it was a horrible thing. I hope not many people made excuses for that like they appear to be doing for Israel.

Some things are wrong. Terrorism conducted by the Palestinians is wrong. The oppression of people based solely on their nationality by Israel is wrong. The using of Palestinian civilians as shields as the Israeli military does is also wrong. There is plenty wrong on both sides.

I'm just getting sick of when someone brings up something wrong that the Israelis do, people saying 'well yeah, but the Palestinians would do something bad too. They would hang an Israeli husband and slit his throat etc...' When something is wrong it's wrong no matter what the other side would do in a hypothetical situation that may or may not even be true. We've been presented with facts and looking at the facts I find them undemocratic, descriminatory, and wrong.

If someone brought up a Palestinian suicide bomber I would find that awful and wrong too. I would admit it was awful and wrong, and not say what the Israelis would do if the tables were turned.

Princess is correct that all democracies aren't perfect. The Palestinian democracy isn't perfect, and neither is the Israeli one. I think that's why there's nothing wrong with pointing the weaknesses in their democracies or ours.

Great post, I couldn't agree more.

Everyone seems to pick Israel's side merely because it is the lesser of two evils. That doesn't mean that we should support them based only on that.

I agree with Timing's post as well, it's time to pull out and let them handle this on their own. Israel has become nothing short of a burden upon us.
