You guys are harsh, I had no idea that day 3 would be this rough. I guess I should have done things differently but I honestly thought the day was just gonna start over again. Sheeeesh, I can never equal YoYao's incredible standard for coolness, he has really set the bar high for me. So I'll admit it, this was a publcity stunt. The whole bbs just got Punk'd. Well my first idea was to make it don't read this email because you will only have 7 days to live if you do, but I thought, someone has probably done that one before, and then I was mixing concrete all day, and when you mix concrete you begin to think about some wierd things, and so I was like, What if I was stuck in that movie, or if someone else was stuck in that movie, man that would suck. And then I was like, I would have to mix concrete every damn day, I'd rather be stuck posting on the BBS all day. I know that was a great story about the post, and you guys probably want to hear tons of more stories just like it, and I love the comic book guy sarcasm drapg. CAn't we all just get along?

twhy77, I don't think people are trying to be harsh on you... but, not all of us are aware/interested in what's going on with your posts in the debate & discussion forum thus not many of us really get a clue of what you are talking about (unlike that Mac James Bond guy who happned to love discussing his new high tech weapons or exploring military/political top secretes in that forum ) ... Maybe giving poeple more clue about the purpose of your thread will help so we can make more constructive comments accordingly...

That's the only problem CRC, the thread had no purpose. It was doomed from the beggining. I wasn't trying to promote anything in debate and discussion either because I just get fired up in there. I guess I was trying to get everybody to loosen up. I wasn't trying to pad posts either whoever said that, I could care less about number of posts.
Whoa...Question: What is the big deal? I thought from the outset was that the purpose, such as it is, was irreverence. Seemed pretty harmless to me. WHat's with the backlash...was anything offensive said? Anything destructive, insensitive, or even unintelligent? Non-sense, sure, but that's the basis for a lot of comedy, such as Monty Python and Seinfeld...not to compare, merely to qualify... Ignore lists, comparisons to other posters who sometimes make insensitive comments, etc. I just don't get it. We can take this territorial thing too far. As far as I'm aware, topics in this thread prior to the criticism included space/time continuum, Shakespeare, Einstein, Academia, a previous post, and other pretty innocuuous fare. A big ass gordidta would somehow qualify as a more reasonable topic of discussion? Had Codell and Behad chosen to favor us with another rendition of a Seinfeld quote-off, that would have been more intelligent ( Codell, Behad...not a shot at all, enjoy them highly, am trying to show the narrow scope the critics in this thread seem to suddenly be allowing)? Several comments on the hotness or non hotness of YoYao or some hot chick would somehow qualify as more legitimate ways of padding a post count? I am not saying that this thread was inherently brilliant, or added to our lives, but it certainly wasn't less substantial than many of the threads we have on a regular basis, and better or less offensive than some. I really don't get the problem here...Can someone explain it to me?
I haven't posted in here because this stuff has been mostly over my head. Still, I don't get the backlash. It was just a joke, kind of lame, maybe a way to get attention drawn, but there was some interesting discussion going on. I'm sure you grizzled vets have seen plenty of worse threads than this, maybe maybe no. . .

I felt like I wanted to say "Big Ass Gordita" in a post...I never have before.. the jab about post padding was just that...a friendly jab. 75% of my posts mean nothing to anyone..includng myself..so why should I *really* get on to someone else for doing the same? maybe, maybe null
Dude, this same exact thing has been happening to me. Like, yesterday I looked up at the clock, and it was 5:00 PM. Then, today, not even 3 hours ago, it was 5:00 PM AGAIN. I never thought about it until I read this absolutely outstanding thread, but it keeps happening, EVERY DAY. OH GOD WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN
