Lol! I actually am responsible for that little dittie...I was giving mixed responsibility to Samuel Clemens, who wrote " There are lies, damn lies, and statistics", and whose pen name was Mark Twain, a naval term for 2 deep, as in fathoms, and Aristotle, who wrote metaphysics. I added the Big as this is a basketball site, I thought a nod to the resident gods wouldn't go amiss...

So, if there was time travel, wouldn't someone from the future already have come back to tell us about it? OR do we have to get to the future first before we can go back. I think Einstein's thoughts on time travel were that we wouldn't neccessarily go back in time, but that we would be able to travel far without time being a factor, sort of like the aliens do. Any scientists out there?

Ah ha, I knew Aristotle didn't have a sense of humor. Actually my philosophy professors in college got a kick out of him, thought he was hillarious.:D

It was in the thread about someone was whining that they were tired of being REpub, and you posted how you weighed things on issues, and zzhiggins was like Raptors Rockets, Actor Teacher, CAnada of America, liberal or conservative; I think he ended up getting really mad.

My favorite Einstein quote...and there are many...went something like this:

" People ask why me? The answer, I think, lies in the fact that most adults stop asking questions like How far is the sky? And what is everything made up of? My secret is that I have never lost the curiosity of the cild, and always asked the simple questions. I still do."

That or the whole energy, mass and speed of light squared thingie...

I think I must have missed it. Recently? I'd like to read it, do you remember the thread? I enjoy being 'gotten' more than getting, if it's genuine. God knows I have been a bit more Hamlet than MacBeth in my real life...

Einstein is great, from the name, to the hair, to the incredible science, to his philosophy. I remember someone askinghim if he believed in God and he was like of course, there has to be something doing all this. Really great guy...

...How can a guy with the sum total of 152 posts have posted something 900 times? :)

I know he didn't really "get" you, but I also know how tough it is to be in the world of Acadameia. I mean its like you are a student your whole life, and people always think back to when they read CAntebury Tales and they remember that guy who was a student his whole life.

I remembered the zzhiggins thing you were talking about, but am a tad confused. It was like a week and a half ago, what brought it up now? In terms of getting me, it was ok, but yeah, he missed the point. But the fact that you are bringing up week old exchanges leads me to believe that you are trying to inspire confusion, and as such, further hits, and as such, get onto the hot list...warm?

    ;)

Well you see everyday I would wake up and have 139 posts again. But it seems as if I have broken through, it is now the 22nd of July.

Yeah...he was brilliant. An all around mind, on the level of Leonardo, Napoleon, and Ptolemy. Of course, according to T_J, I would not be myself if I didn't add that I'm smarter than all of them.

Out of curiosity, did anyone listen to Coast to Coast AM (the old Art Bell Show) last night? It was interesting, but out there. The guest was some guy named Al Belig who was claimed that the military has known how to time travel since 1943.
