I actually find myself watching EPNNEWS a lot more than Sportscenter...same info all crammed into 1/2 hr...plus I like the ticker they have
I stop watching Sports Center when most of the anchormen yell out certain phrases for no apparant reason, like they trying hard to sound like Stephen A smith or something. It just sounded rediculous and un professional.
How many audio feeds do they play on This Is SportsCenter? It sounds like jumbled garbage and if that is what the anchors hear they do a good job of concentrating. I wish they would play one feed like the Director to the anchors instead of combining. "Camera 1 I need Red Sox score as scripted 5 seconds 5 roll highlights Hey Linda 4 I got the Mets score 3 Camera 2 we're doing 2 the segment I got the TO tape 1 as scripted roll commercials"
Right, and to say that phrase EVERY time a ball goes deep is ridiculous. Not to mention he acts like the guy hit the game winning HR in the seventh game of the World Series on every shot. (Abreau hit a long fly towards left field) Berman: "OOOOOOHHH MAAAAAANNNN!!! THIS COULD MEET MADAGASCAR!!! BAAAACK, BAAACK, BAAACK! GONE!!!" (Abreau hits another deep fly) Berman: "OOOOOOOOHHHHH MAAAAANNNN!!! BAAAACK, BAAAACK, etc, etc" Rinse & repeat for a 80+ HRs in one night. I actually like Berman but there are times he is a bit too much.
