That school is named after my great grandmother. I was at the dedication. What a horrible, horrible tragedy. ------------------ AAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!
I almost fainted after reading this thread. My little sister is 8th grader at Klein. Elizabeth was one of her best friends. If you have brothers, sisters, friends, whatever -- at Kleb, anywhere -- call'm right now and let them know you're thinking about them. Please. ------------------ Hey now, Hey now, don't Dream it's over...
My mom called me up today to tell me and to say that my sister was ok. Unfortunately, when I was in 8th grade at Strack, a guy brought a gun up to school on a Friday, but luckily they caught it during 6th period.

------------------ "There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another which states that this has already happened." Douglas Adams
I was just there about an hour ago playing hoops with a friend from work. (If it's that school behind Klein). A tragedy....
I know this topic is taboo, but a gun makes this type of thing so easy to do - just one little twitch of the finger and, before you can say gun control, she's gone. I can think back to my youth and be grateful that there were times where I did not have access to a gun. It's just too easy for someone who cannot grasp the full implications of it all. I get choked up when I think about how her parents must feel. tragic ------------------
It's not that the topic is taboo -- In fact, it's been discussed on this board quite a bit. Since this is kind of a "memorial" thread, It would be better to start a new thread if you want to discuss gun control. My heart goes out to this girl's family and friends. ------------------ Stay Cool...
Two quick points- 1. This was a real tragedy, and my heart goes out to the family of that little girl. 2. People who use tragedy to make their political statements are low life scum sucking bastards. They dishonor themselves, their agendas, and the victims. ------------------
