They may not like the trade because Moochie was a friend. But they have a job to do and they must know that Moochie wasn't cuttin' it as the backup PG. The Wilks guy is doing better now than Moochie was doing the last 2 seasons.

I am also glad that Stevie and Ming took it hard. It IS a business and winning is the ultimate prize. Ming feels sorry for Moochie not because they are good friends but because Ming feels it's too sudden. The Chinese way is not to be so rash. But he will learn, much like he's learning how to play now.

Message to Stevie, play like a PG and lead the team to victory. That will be your best way to "remember Moochie".

You are absolutely right, Yao said that because it came all of a sudden to him. The Chinese culture favours everything changes slowly. In fact, if you are used to working in a large organization, you know things rarely change fast. As such Yao grew up from a huge bureaucracy, it looks strange to me for the Moochie mid-season deal.

Yes, he will get used to it. By the time his contract expires, I am sure he will negotiate a renewal in an American way, not a Chinese way that prefers smooth continuity over a relatively small difference in currency. :)

Your 'theory' is completely absurd and irrational! Yao was a bit of sad and thought the deal somewhat ruthless because he cherish the friendship of teammates, and believe in loyalty mutually with the organization he devoted.

"The Chinese culture favours everything changes slowly". ---Blasphemy! That is the dumpest statment I ever heard! Do you really understand Chinese culture which already exists and can trace back to 5000 years ago???

I will pardon you and just consider you as a harum-scarum if you are NOT a chinese native. If you ARE... OK! NOW, I want to take you outside in the street anywhere in China, tell our people what you said on this BBS, you will GET INTO TROUBLE Right AWAY even without me get involved!!! Then you will have to say: The Chinese culture favours nothing changes slowly.
