That will work if we can trade for Brand now and sign a good free agent pg later. How about Payton?

Trading after every bad spell is a pretty naive method. Trade couldn't solve the fundamental problems that exist on the team. Actually it creates more problem than answer. See Philly Sixers.

This is where I have to come in and wake you up from your dream...lets face it, we have two of the dumbest guards(while not on drugs) to ever play the game of basketball and you want them to What?!

Yes, I am dreaming now. That is my choice for the moment. Do we have better alternatives:( I will not argue with you if Steve and Cat are the dumb and dumber, though I don't think they are. My experience tells me that a coach with balls can do wonders to bad boys if he chooses to do so. A coach with legendary history can do even better. On the other hand, I just wanted to argue in technical details that getting Yao the ball or playing with good spacing should NOT be a rocket science to that bunch.

MacBeth - good points. I might add that Griffin is a prime example of not used to his strengths. A man who shoots a shot that flat will never be a 3 point threat.

"Yao has easily been the best offensive quarterback we have had this year...Steve is more of a running back, Cuttino and JP are wide receivers, and Eddie's a Tight End...okay, I got a little carried away there, but you get my point. "
    lol

THEY AREN'T THE TWO DUMBEST GUARDS!!!

Moochie is the dumbest!!! And that European rookie on the Minnesota Timberwolves IS TERRIBLE. He didn't make any of his open shots. He makes like 50 turnovers in 10 minutes. He screwed up their chance to win against Dallas. I don't even know why they play that Rakosaaruopsep guy. Same like with us. Why do we even play Moochie?

And coaching change? Yes. We need an additional Assistant Coach.

ABOUT ELTON BRAND. You said Eddie Griffin isn't anything? Elton Brand doesn't play defense any better than Eddie. He has more blocks per game, but he really doesn't play good defense. Or maybe he just doesn't care when I watch him cuz he's on the Clippers. I would like him.

    Lamar Odom? INJURY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But Eddie Griffin. He shouldn't be a three point threat! He is pretty good when he is closer to the basket.

THE MAIN THING THAT THE ROCKETS SHOULD DO IS GIVE THE BALL TO YAO!!!!!!! And they really need to learn how to win on the road. Have they won on the road recently????? BESIDES AGAINST MEMPHIS! They need to be mentally prepared. And they need to be even more aggressive!

    Not Rocket Science...

I would love to have Lamar Odom. That's my # 1 choice to make Steve/Yao work. I've posted it many time before. Is there a poor man's Odom, assuming the Clips won't let him go and he doesn't force a trade?

I agree main points - get the ball out of Steve's hands. Get another way to deliver the ball to him for score. Get another way to set up Yao.
