why not? He's a former rocket who almost had a clean slate until this year. So all of this does seem out of character which is why this is an issue.
Of course he'll get a contract offer but he won't even get a Lowry-like offer at this point. From the fans point of view, its fun when a player gets ejected and takes it in stride. From a management point of view, I'd be skeptical about signing a guy who gets ejected for a bonehead reason like that. The issue is we all like Brooks and want him to succeed but stuff like this ain't helping his cause.
not sure the circumstances but not really a fan of how brooks laughed and smiled as he left the court...yeah the game was decided and all but it just seemed to reek of immaturity to me most people when they get ejected are pissed especially if it was for something stupid

Dowdell argued about a call Mauer called Dowdell a little b**** Dowdell asked Mauer if he would say that to him outside of the court Dowdell got ejected Brooks (while itching is own crotch) said something to Mauer (in this thread it was something along the lines of why Mauer wouldn't say it to him outside of the court). Brooks got ejected. Honestly, I don't think that this is AB's fault. Mauer can be like a woman on her period. Upon further consideration, AB's got problems. He needs to use the offseason to screw his head back on, hopefully straight.
He didn't call AB a b****, he called Dowdell a b****. AB came to Dowdell's defense and said something to Mauer. I think worzel is right. If a superstar did what AB did (stand up for a teammate), he does not get thrown out.
I know he called Dowdell a b**** and that's what I'm saying: Mauer wouldn't have called Kobe or LeBron anything which would have the "Mauer wouldn't have ejected Kobe or LeBron" situation as a moot point. In other words, I'm arguing on the Dowdell ejection which is the whole reason that led to the Brooks ejection
Oooh. Apples and oranges. I think worzel was saying that a star would not be ejected for doing what Brooks did (defending a teammate whom is insulted by a ref).
And I would agree with you both. But maybe Mauer ejected Dowdell to give him time to warm up for their meeting outside after the game? :grin:
