I hope you know you know mortgaging the rockets future by giving our young players Plus our draft picks. Paul is not worthy of a king's ransom. Lebron, whom I no longer care as a person, would.
What? I would say yeah, once or twice during my tenure here. There is a glut of Morey threads on page one? How many threads have I started not looking at page one? EDIT: Actually maybe I read your post wrong, Deckard. "Paul/Morey" as in "Paul OR Morey"? Or "Morey getting Paul"? I read it as the latter. If it is Paul OR Morey, then I still don't see many Morey specific threads on page one.
To start with, like already mentioned, your post says the same thing as the blinebury piece said. Or are you reading it and then tricking yourself into thinking you came up with a unique thought?
I have not read the Blinebury piece, as most of his pieces are pieces of ****. But if we are talking about the same things, then good for him. Next time I start a thread I will try my bestest to meet your standard of uniqueness and creativity. Maybe I'll start one on Allan Houston or Yao getting hurt. Until then though, this is all I got. Has nothing to do with Chris Paul. Has nothing to do with Paul/Morey. Just Magic Morey. Abracadabra. Last time I'll address this, since it has nothing to do with basketball. Take it up in Feedback. Or merge it. Or lock it up.
SAME!!!!! Man i think the whole Morey thing is a bit of like a cult type thing, it's like he cannot put a foot wrong on here lol. Get bored with all the "in morey we trust"... etc etc etc
I must admit, I thought something actually happened to cause this kind of a thread title. Disappointing.
Meh, anytime a lot of people like something there will be the people who enjoy kicking against the pricks. It's the way of things.
Putting aside whether this duplicates other threads, why "celebrate" Morey's "finest hour" when your premise is that he's about to do something? Shouldn't he do it first, and then "celebrate his finest hour?" How about we let him actually do something spectacular and then celebrate "his finest hour," and then go on to say if it seems needed, yet again, and for the hundredth time, that "In Morey We Trust."
What? Come on. "Tradeable assests" = good peicies that can be traded for a superstar while still keeping our competitive core together, which eventually = champoinship parades. You know full well no one is celebrating just having assets. if we get through the season without making a great aquisiotion there will be a lot of disappointed folks here. Everyone is happy about what the assets can bring us eventually. Just because NBA fandom has evolved beyond "watch the guys on the court and hope they win" doesn't mean you have to be such a grump about it.
For one, I never said it was a "celebration" of his finest hour. Just a statement that it WAS. It was another poster that used that term, which is why I put " " around it. As for waiting until he "does something", the whole point of the thread is that the work has already been done. Somehow transitioning a roster chalk full of Derek Andersens and Ryan Bowens into one with Assets out the wazoo WAS the "something spectacular". Whether that can be consolidated into that elite player won't be all up to Morey. Other things have to fall into place outside of his control. All we(and Morey) can do now is sit, wait, and see what happens. Regardless of the end result, this IS his finest hour, and the culmination of his work the past 3 years.
Yes instead we celebrate Mike James part two, Steve Francis part two, Jared Jeffries, Brian Cook, Brad Miller (and all the other former Kings retreads) Trevor Ariza, ect ect. All for the sum of one second round apperance, and more first round or zero playoffs than second rounds or greater. Don't give me injuries this or that. I actually believe we are in terrible shape going into the future. Carmelo and CP3 are looking towards NY not Houston.
Thats my point. if the stars arent looking forward to come here? We are in terrible shape. Thats unless we obtain one of these stars to draw others in like Chris Paul and maybe trade Yao for another great player to get rid of some of that doubt. If players dont want to come here? Then we are in serious trouble if we cant get anyone here. Yao is not the answer. He isnt. We cant win a Championship with a 25 minute a night guy.
I think the original post is an ironic microcosmic example of "Morey frustration". Its well put, thought out, makes sense and looks great on paper. That's all.
Do you really need to meet someone's "standard" of uniqueness and creativity" to not post a duplicate thread? No one's asking for a literary masterpiece, just don't repeat the exact same thing. Even if you think he writes like crap you can still check what it is about. There's also always the option of not posting it, if repeating something is "all you got". And like Deckard mentioned, nothing has even happened. It sounds like what is suppose to be a pre or post game pep talk, but there's one problem. There's no game scheduled to be played.
Im a DM fan for sure, check the sig, but if I read another "In Morey we trust" phrase Ima lose it.. as a religious person its quite disturbing but to each is own... with that said hes certainly positioned himself nicely to strike with a great move at any given time
