bottom line: Luis Suarez has heart. El Niño doesn't. Like previously stated he didn't do much for Spain in WC'10. Hopefully i get to watch the game this weekend liverpool vs Chelsea to see how the new squads play on the field.
A little harsh to call Ashley that. You may not have followed the messes that Ken Bates has left behind him. Luckily for him, Roman cleaned up after him at Chelsea. There are a lot of Donald Sterlings in English football so I won't just pin it on Ashley. This was a solid bit of business for Newcastle. I can't fault Ashley for selling. It's not like(or as far as I know it wasn't reported) Ashley and the Magpies were pimping Ashley to various clubs so they could get a few bob for him. The Reds came in with an offer that no mid-lower table club would in their right mind ever pass up. We know the inflated transfer values for English players and so Ashley and the NUFC mgmt did the right thing in taking the money. Who knows how much they'd get for Carroll in the summer transfer window if the goals start drying up before the end of the season. Also, Carroll wasn't forced to sign on to the sale and sign the new contract with Liverpool(Which he was angling to get instantly from the Magpies and they wanted to wait on). If Carroll refused to be sold, I GUARANTEE that unlike certain fringe players that get frozen out at the club wanting to do the selling, Carroll would still be a guaranteed 1st choice up front for NUFC and the fans would be praising him even more vociferously every game for turning down Liverpool. I have no sympathy for him and I never have sympathy for Newcastle United(Delusions of grandeur at a club that have won less European titles than Aston Villa). It was business and smart business at that. Carroll gets his new contract, gets a nice cut of his big transfer fee, gets to play at a club that we all know will finish higher than Newcastle while NUFC get the transfer fee to spend on some new players (but this is Newcastle and odds are they'll pick up a wastepipe from Spain or France-They got lucky with Nzogbia and Ben Arfa). It's just business.
will the transfer deadline activity be updated on the Fifa11 online rosters? did updated rosters from Fifa10 last year have transfers included in it? looking forward to playing liverpool w/ the new forwards
David Villa Euro winner, World Cup winner, Euro Top Scorer, World Cup Silver Boot, more World Cup goals then any player in Spain's history, co-leader in all international goals for Spain, Confederations Cup Bronze Shoe, career club total of 252 goals in 482 games. 34 million pounds.
I was fuming every time Maxi touched the ball. This was even before his point blank miss with nobody between him and the back of the net. To me that was the only questionable decision by KD. If Chelski falls out of the top 4, I will look into this game as the dagger pushed them over the edge. Everything seemed to fall apart for Chelski ever since that assistant manager got fired. With that said, can't wait till Liverpool is in full force with Suarez and Carroll playing full time. It's amazing that the reds essentially won with the old team without Torres. Good day to be a Reds fan. YNWA.
Re. Chelsea- Some people seem to believe the drop began then but it'd been brewing for a while. It's silly to believe the loss of Wilkins is the reason Ancelotti can't get the best out of his side and his side can't perform up to par anymore. Granted in footy the coach conducts training while the manager looks on and observe but the manager gives the coach instructions regarding training and as far as I've been told there's been no change in terms of what Emenalo provides and what Wilkins provided on the training ground. Emenalo has the ear of the African players and he has the ear of the most important man at Chelsea-Roman, so I can guarantee Ancelotti will leave before Emenalo does. There's strife between Ancelotti and Roman and that's not helping. Still, it's up to the players on the pitch to get things right. Nice 5-5-0 formation by KD as well. (The 3 at the back will almost always turn into 5 and Kuyt and Meireles are not strikers. I woulda started Suarez with Kuyt and put Meireles right behind them and dropped Maxi to the bench but whateva, KD is a saviour and Meireles popped up for the goal). Good for Liverpool, good result for Arsenal and United considering the disasters on show yesterday.

Something must be brewing before that nobody outside of select higher ups knew because Wilkins was let go for no apparent reason. I might have missed the news if a reason was indeed given, but it's very weird. I heard that Ancelotti even went on record to say that he doesn't trust the new guy and he will not give him any duties (don't trust him at all). Anyone know if there are truth in that? Essentially, I think Abramovic has a hand in the recent poor form. IMO his rift with Ancelotti is affecting the players. It may seem a little ridiculous, but maybe Wilkins had a big role as Ancelotti's assistant. He didn't even seem that happy to land Torres at the deadline. You could just tell something was up. I think Ancelotti's job at Stamford might come to an end after this summer. As for today's starters, I understood KD's decision to not start Suarez, but was disappointed when his only sighting was a 5 second camera shot of him standing from the bench. I thought for sure Maxi was gonna get subbed by Suarez after the 60th minute. I think KD probably liked how the team was in sync today and didn't wanna disturb the harmony. I was laughing my head off when the idiot Ivanovic got in the way of Cech twice. That incident basically summed up Chelsea's current state.
