game 3 will be huge (theres a ground breaker). I have a feeling it will be the tmac show. He just seems to step it up on the road and the more the jazz fans scream at him the better he will be.
I have a feeling it will take a loss to hammer home to our stars that they need to elevate their game to the next level for us to win this series. I am expecting a loss next game as I see from past experience our team needs to hit bottom for them to wake up and play at that level. I just hope we don't lose 2 there to have our stars and role players -looking at Battier and Head- to wake up from their slumber. Against the Suns, Spurs, Mavs you won't get that chance. They will fry our butts. We can be thankful for the Jazz and AK for giving us gifts.
That's exactly right, those were 2 games we were SUPPOSED TO WIN. We have 2 on the road coming up, so YOUR POINT IS? And you think you are the only rockets fan on here just because you "don't ever worry about the rockets and just sit there thinking we are going to sweep teams?" I for one is concerned for a GOOD REASON, because we weren't play close to our best. If we do, GREAT; If we don't, we have troubles ahead
You are so tough, maybe you should crawl back out the hoe and smell how much you stink at being a fan
The Jazz will get a boost when they play at home. We all know the Rox can play a lot better than they did in the first two games. If they do, we should be able to beat Utah at least once, if not twice, in their building. I think they will play better - and I think we'll win at least one. But I do think the Rox need to be very careful not to get overconfident. They need to come out with energy in Game 3, or they could end up in a big hole. And none of us want that.
We have got a lot of work to do. Yao is shooting 40% from the field this series, facing single-man coverage from Okur. Our 3-point shooting is abyssmal, which is keeping T-Mac from getting enough room to operate. In both games we played low-energy, porous defense through the first quarter-and-a-half, and probably relied on the home court crowd a little too much for inspiration to nut it up. Like the '95 Rockets, we are still a work in progress and evolving on the fly. How far we go in the playoffs will depend on how fast we can improve. But right now, I'd say we are more likely to lose the next two than win them both.
who said anything about sweep? rox weren't playing their best, and jazz countered with boozer going ballistic, and still managed to beat them handily. what makes you believe the rox can't play any better? everyone is EXPECTING the rox to win this series, the happiness or joy that ensued from the mavs series is totally different due to the fact in expectations. IF the rox fail to win this series, it will be a HUGE disappointment. the mavs series wasn't in the bag after 2-0, and i don't know what happened on this board, but at least with me, I was certainly more cautious then than now due to the fact that the mavs were a much more balanced team. Rox were riding on the coattails of tmac, and the well isn't deep enough for one player to carry a team. this time totally different situations. yao AND tmac doing their things, hayes and battier the xfactors in defense. HAVE SOME FAITH
We won 2 games we should have won. But sloppy. We must play better tighter Rocketball, no one disagrees. However, everyone on this board, who stuck with this team, through the Francis era, can enjoy these wins and deserves a little optimism.
oh, so the only you can come up against the argument is pointing out little spelling problems? the point still stands, you and a bunch of other fans getting wobbly knees need to check yourself
clearly haven't been followng rockets basketball (or houston sports in general) for very long. are you sure english is your first language? in any case, what does other sports have anything to do with what the rox do?
Uh...if you read my post, I said the Rockets (not 'rox') will win the series. I think it may be time for you to turn off the computer and leave the jr high library now. Aren't the busses leaving pretty soon?
I feel pretty good about winning this series, but I've watched enough basketball in my 30+ years to know that a 7 game series can totally change in just one possession. did you say that?????
Well, alot of folks bring up the Mavericks series. That series the Rockets were the weaker team because Yao and T-Mac couldnt make up for a lack of depth. They played their best ball in Games 1 and 2 and Game 2 came down to T-Mac nailing a 22 footer at the buzzer. Mavericks had alot of room to get better going into game 3, but the Rockets really didnt. Here, BOTH teams have room to get better going into game 3.
Holy crap, you are right! We still have to win two more games! How foolish of me to not realize this. Truly you have saved the day.
reality in what? the reality that the jazz are a great team ready to put the smack down on the rox in their ownhouse? with what? ONly thing you have talked about is how the rox are playing terribly... did they find a way to win? what have the jazz done? what do you think they will do that can scare the rox? what makes you think that the rox are taking the jazz lightly?
