It doesnt. Its the fact that he put on this persona of a cocky badass that could. Thats what irks me. Trust me, I know all about the differences of a great freestyler and a good artist that can make music. They hardly ever intertwine. Oh, like American Pharoah's song that he ripped? . Like I said before, I think hes got a really creative mind, but maybe, just maybe, the team behind him deserves more credit or credit at all.
Eh, I don't know. Kelly Clarkson had a song called "The Heartbeat Song" that basically ripped off "The Middle" by Jimmy Eat World. I remembered listening to it and was disgusted by this. I actually enjoy Kelly Clarkson (believe it or not!) but that right there turned me off. IIRC, there was hardly an uproar about this and so I think many people are meh about these things. Probably every hit song has some kind of rip off to it if you dig deep enough.
