yea the weekend sucked, is even worse, my parents and I moved from east side of Houston (North Shore) to Manvel, near 288 and Highway 6, fun times and back 2 work tomorrow
I love the rain. I like walking my dog through the forests when there is a light drizzle. Makes it feel like a rainforest. I had a great weekend.
I just bought my Harley and had some Vance and Hines pipes put in. It sounds unbelievable, in the garage!!! The V&H fuelpak is on it's way and will most likely get installed, before the weather clears up. It will sound even better, in the garage!!!
My bright idea yesterday was that @ 2 pm, during what turned out to only be a lull in the rain, the family would go to the zoo, since rain keeps people away from the zoo. Two major problems with the plan were Its was a free day at the Zoo and turned out to be very crowded with strollers and umbrellas. Rained the entire time we were at the zoo.
The Wii saved the day for us in Austin......and finally the rain stopped long enough yesterday to get the slip and slide out..... Good times ! DD
Wow no rain in Portland! Doesn't it always rain in Portland? No rain in Minneapolis even though the weather report kept on threatening rain. Had three beautiful days with temps in the 60's and 70's.
Definitely a surreal weekend in the NorthEast too. Absolutely beautiful weather, but we were dealing with a friend of 20 years (who was visiting from CA) who's melanoma had returned and metastasized. A very bittersweet weekend.
I accidentally left the car door open overnight. It was a bit wet in the morning, but the real problem was the 10,000 mosquitoes that decided to make it their new home.
I am so sorry. I had one removed 6 years ago and have yearly checkups, because of it. Everyone needs to get a skin checkup at least once to be safe. Take care
Ewwww! That happened to me when I was living in the country. I was just amazed how many mosquitos there were in my car. But as I started driving, it seemed that they were only concerned with getting out, luckily.
Went to Corpus/Port Aransas and while driving through rain Saturday sucked when I arrived in Corpus it was sunny and I was able to have dinner on the water, drink outside Wataburger field at a bar, go to the Hooks game and then cap it off with Robert Earl Keen singing Corpus Christi Bay as hundreds of us were trashed and screaming. Sunday it rained most of the day but I was able to have fun, and yesterday I drove up to Port Aransas, spent time on the beach but am very tired this morning. Glad I left town
My weekend was OK other than the fact that I didn't get to light up either my smoker or my gas grill. Went to a friends BDay party, hooked up with Babygirl for killer Indian food, shopped, worked in the garden, cooked, played music. It was OK, but I'm ready for a few days of no rain.
Fixed that for you. I called in sick on Friday (subtle, huh?) so I had a nice 4 day weekend. Took the girlfriend out for her birthday Friday, went to a couple of graduation parties on Saturday, played a gig on Sunday, sat on my ASS on Monday. Good weekend.
