The Islamic halal way we cut our chicken is to cut the throught half way and let teh blood drip out. They say it cleans the meat of all the blood rather tahn when you just chop it all off. Its just one of the rules we have, Guess its kinda like Kosher rules.
No, that was just you. Seriously, the differences are that: there are more and less humane ways to kill an animal (you're still killing it, so it's never completely humane ), and that it's especially awful to take someone's companion animal from them.
As long it is a fair killing I think you can eat every animal. Or just eat none of them. Only rule: no endangered species.
Agreed. You people who are saying he should die are what's wrong with this world. You place value into things that aren't important. You should be outraged at alot worse things than this. Rapes, murders, child molestation these are the kind of crimes happening to humans, folks. Yeah poor dog, but it is just a dog. I would be in favor of a hefty fine, but only minimal jail time if any at all. Let the dog's owner file a civil suit on top of the fine and this kind of thing will work itself out.
I'll tell you what - there's a deterrent for letting your dog or cat loose, like we had the complaints about a couple of weeks ago. In Korea, someone might catch your pet and EAT IT! I bet people would be a lot more careful.

They carry just a little more emotional attachment than a chicken in a slaughterhouse, especially if it's had 17 years to bond with its family.
I disagree. Shooting a moose in the head after it fell into a hole and broke two of its legs is an example of animal dispatchment that is completely humane.

Btw, on the chickens: my grandmother would kill her chickens by grabbing their heads and giving it a quick twist to break the neck. Death was pretty quick and certainly did not require one to twist the head until it popped off.
Exactly, but in those countries, Dogs and Cats may have their own slaughterhouses, Is it fine to kill them and eat them then? I am morally against the issue, but if a group of people do it and ain no where near me, LET EM BE...
This site consistently amazes me. Jim Rome is always at least a day late on his show about things already mentioned in this forum. He just brought this up. He was like a week late on the Donkey and Afghan incident.
