This defense really is atrocious, bottom-of-the-league level

    Some homers like to claim that it's just poor Rockets and their bad luck. You look at the next Wizards game. They're still bad defensively so even the Timberwolves can guard them well and get a big lead. The Nets are struggling with their 3s against the Pistons and not scoring as well. The Rockets have been truly embarrassing. I don't care how many shots they contest in the 2nd half when their out-of-shape old bodies can focus on it. We should care about how many shots they contest and how much intensity they put into the first half when the other team gets into rhythm. I don't see how a team with terrible defensive guards like ours really have a chance to be a good defense. Harden is pathetic on that end. Westbrook at least tries but is still too undisciplined to play consistent defense. Gordon is...Gordon. It's looking pretty bleak.

    Defense can never be good when there is no Forwards( SF/ PF ) and play small ball line up.

    Rockets fans always have some useless advanced stat in their back pocket as their argument when reality is different from the hypothetical and statistical. Bad luck isn't a great argument.

    They play no defense, or are clueless on defense. High expectation for this season is to make the playoffs.

    Perhaps the Rockets' style enables teams getting in better rhythm. The fast pace and constant jacking of threes is like a dueling banjos... and other teams have better shooters than us. It's a shame we're not better in that regard in this offense.

    It takes games for players to adjust. Be patient. It's only one game...err...maybe 2.....maybe 3......ok ok it's only 5 games.
