Who can do this magic? Themself.

And I'd like to remind you, Rick had coached Ron before.

You're blaming coach for Yao who can't block a point guard's layup?
You're blaming coach for Tracy who can't shoot any better than Mutombo?
You're blaming coach for Artest and his streaky shooting?

These are all players' flaws, and as they are the leaders and stars (and the ones that get paid the most, especially Tmac) they better step up.

We only have three players that consistently show up, and that is Chuck Hayes (2 million), Brooks, (less than 3 million) and Landry. (3 million) What the hell is going on?

Since you are blaming the coach for our weakness, might as well praise him for our strength.

Thank you for drafting Brooks. (Rick was a big influence on Brooks)
Thank you for giving Brooks and Landry great quality minutes to groom in their rookie season.
Thank you for not undervaluing Chuck Hayes' value to the team.

Can't belive what you guys are thinking. Coach can't have you make turnover, shot poorly, wait for the rebounds, defend nobody.

Great players fight all game even without coach.

Joke. OK, RA gave you Brooks, Landry, and Hayes, but take away Yao, Tmac, and Ron. You actually think this is a good deal??? Go figure.

You take one of me extra arguments and argue with it, instead of the main point. A coach can be so good or so bad, but it is all up to the players. Yao plays horrible defense, 1 on 1 and on blocking midgets. Tracy doesn't know when to stop jacking up shots, especially when the game is close. (He jacked up a shot, Spurs got rebound, Duncan takes Yao one of one... Spurs get their first lead in a while)

    Another example?

    Isaiah Thomas.
    Great player. Horrible coach.

He coached Eddy Curry and Marbury, they looked horrible under him. New coach, a better coach in Mike. What happens? They are still horrible, they aren't even activated.

I don't think Adelman's system is the problem, it's not like the Rockets have even been following completely to begin with. Even Adelman himself has complained all season they're not playing within the system. That being said, i don't like Adelman's in-game decisions when it comes to plays and substitutions. I dont know if he wanted tmac to take those 2 shots in the final minute or so, but the guy was 2 for 10 at that point, not a good call. I'm guessing the second to last play was also called by Adelman, and again, its not a good call when you have you're inexperience and really undersized PG challenge a great seasoned defender like Duncan. The last call, wasnt TOO bad, but Ron can't get off a clean look if he's not open, he almost got blocked and had to stop awkwardly so he wouldn't travel, Wafer is better at getting that shot off and i believe he had been shooting well too.

So i guess i'm saying the system MAY be a problem, but its not fair to completely blame it since they haven't actually bought into it completely yet.

the op.. and the people who follow his mentality... are thinking too much on the short-term.. looking for the immediate solution to the symptoms of our problem.. instead of looking for a permanent solution.. to the root of our problems..

The biggest problem for RA is he allows selfish plays way too much.

so did JVG.. just left Tracy to be Tracy.. which was fine.. with a team that only has two legit talents on board.. that is if you only like getting so far..

however.. when you start allowing the same from more than one of your heavy minute talented players... you get this mess that we have now.. people don't realize that they'd run into the same issues.. if Adelman tried to fix his offense to accommodate each of the big 3 individually..

You're not a true Rocket fans if you don't know the fact that TMac has always started the seasons shaky, then turn it up around mid-December. Also wasn't it last year, or the year before, when TMac was shooting below 35% FG and about 19 PPGs. That was the year when everyone was doubting him, saying he's wash up... well you guys know the rest.. led us to PO w/o Yao, 22 win streak, etc.

I'm just saying that maybe you should wait til January before you guys start b****ing about how crappy our star players are, and how we should run Aldy out of town by morning time.
