    I dunno WTF I was thinking doubting Morey really. I mean I forgot he has a few supercomputers on his side.

    This is basically my opinion too on that draft, in hindsight. CD was still the GM at the time. And it's clear Battier was Morey's guy. But with the benefit of seeing all of Morey's subsequent moves since then (wrt to the lopsidedness of each deal), it's pretty clear to me that he was not the one negotiating the deal for the Rockets.

    I think the Steve Francis comparisons are way off. Steve justifiably got a bad rap for his lack of IQ, but he was one of the most explosive point guards to ever play the game. He could explode to the basket seemingly at will and was also a very good finisher. Lowry doesn't have that extra push - most of his layups only come in transition.

    He reminds me of like a young Mark Jackson. Not too quick, but physical, and always completely in control of the game. Just a great leader that instills confidence on the court but isn't too overwhelming athletically.
