I'm sure you can get into some law school. just do really well on your LSAT and that will help counterbalance your GPA. plus any work experience / life experience will help you out so concentrate hard on your personal statement and get good letters of recommendation. you can't work on your GPA right now so don't worry about it. worry about the other things you have control over.

I just graduated from law school in May and Im studying for the bar exam in July so feel free to PM me if you have any other questions.

I forgot all about this thread. Guess it's time for an update. I did end up taking the LSAT and did a 165 which was okay but below my target of 170. I was averaging 170 in my practice exams too.

I could have taken it again but i got a consulting job instead so i decided to skip law school for now. That said i can always try again for law school or MBA in the future if i pleased.

don't go to law school unless you can get into a top 14 period. Or you are getting a free ride somewhere else. I would even caution against attending any law school below top 7.

I agree with most of the advice in this thread cautioning against law school unless you are in a top tier school. Salaries for the majority of lawyers are not the cush six figure salaries that are always advertised by law schools. I know many lawyers that were in my class, still struggling for stable income to this day. So, if you're doing it for the money, you're doing it for all the wrong reasons.

At this point, I am five years out of law school, and while it has worked out for me, I have somewhat of a unique background (for lawyers) that allows me to practice in a niche legal field. Unless you are in a similar situation or know someone in a position to help you land the job you want, or have an extreme passion for the legal field, I would advise against going to law school.

If you do happen to go, however, please note that grades in the first two years of school are extremely important for your job prospects.
