What? Next thing you're going to say is that the FG % is over rated! Look at every team and see which 5 is at the top of the list, it's a real indicator as to who is not carrying their weight!

never plays defense? hes leads the league in total rebounds, that means you play defense. ya his defense is not the best...but when ever i watch pacer games hes active and gives alot of effort. and i dont want him to start. he would be a perfect 6 man off the bench to be yaos insurance. I know Murphy is not the " Super Star" piece that the rockets need right now, ya no ****. but hes definitely worth to look at if we do indeed lose scola for a trade regarding bosh or jefferson. hell, i would WAYYYY rather have Troy Murphy on my team than freakin brad miller...

FYI the team that scores more points wins the game. AKA the team on the + side of the scoreboard wins.

Watch them more often, getting rebounds is not the foundation for a good defender! By your "logic" scola is our best defender!

Watch the guy play, he's a PYLON on D. He can't stop his own man, hence his +/- is awful and that's putting it nicely! This is some kind of a joke right? You continue to rehash the same points over and over again, and continue to ignore the fact he can't play D and that we need a intimidating presence in the paint when/if yao is out.

I've always liked Murphy's game and thought that it would be a great compliment to Yao.

I'm not saying that this should be our top priority, or that the Pacers are even open to trading him, but I don't hate the idea of looking into it if nothing else works out.

Murphy is a nice player, I would like him next to Yao. He is not a star in this league but he is a very solid role player whose skills would be maximized next to Yao. That being said, for $12 mil I can think of other players I would rather have. But I wouldn't be devastated if we traded Jeffries/Andersen for Murphy, maybe I'd even thrown in a 2nd round pick if he is a restricted free agent.

Agree with you 100% bro. That's exactly what the point of this thread is. If bosh is gonna require to many key pieces and basically dismantle our foundation, it's not worth it. Then we should look into a guy like Murphy. Murphy was just a solid example, because I know forsure Murphy would excel next to Yao, or be a legit back up for him.

Yes I think so. I see CB play night in night out. I see lot of good offensive skills in him but he is not a defensive player as some of you might think he is.
I know he is a good guy and all that but that was not the point I made.

Here is what you should do:

    1. Stop watching ESPN highlights. I know, it is tempting. But you will out grow that habit when you are done with high school. If not, GED is not a bad thing.

    2. Please take care of your fish - it has higher IQ than you. I am sure I am not the first person that noticed that - your friends might noticed that too.
    You have friends, right? Punk!

you douche bags that are hating on this thread. need to actually understand what im talking about. Troy Murphy was just an example i used, if we CANNOT obtain Bosh. Just ideas that i came up with and what i think morey should look at.

So just because some goof (as sternsucks puts it) overpays for Camby, Dalmbert and Dampier its already ok to overpay for Murphy as well? Well golly gee willickers, lets sign Scola and Lowry to the Max as well then, since both of them are twice the player Murphy is.

Murphy on his own is already a poison pill, if the Pacers want us to take him out of their hands they got to give us assets instead.

if we cannot obtain bosh then it might make sense to stand pat and look to hill and our lottery pick for big men instead of getting 12 million defensive liabilities who are actually worse offensive players than Scola.
