Things you wish you still had from when you were young

Snarkiness aside there is one thing that I want from when I was young.

Youth.

 

I had a big box full of hundreds of baseball cards... most between 1967 and 1974.

No idea what happened to them.

 

I've replied already, but wish to emphized how much I miss the beaches of my youth. When I was a kid that was all we ever did, hang out on the beach. Especially Waimea Bay and Sunset Beach. In fact, Sunset Beach was basically my front yard.

I'd like to add, some of you have some really nice toys (said in the voice of Roy Batty (Hauer) in Bladerunner). :grin:

 

Wish I still had my old Sega Genesis games, NES, SNES, and micro machines.

I might have been born in the wrong era.

Not only lack of freedom, conversations have changed. Everybody knows everything cuz they can click their cell phones to look up the answers. Its not like people use the extra time that cell phones and technology provides to take trips or go on hikes or anything. They stay inside their homes so no one else with cell phones can track what they're doing

My answer was gonna be I still wish I had the 80's. Not so much cuz of all the cool commercial stuff. Cuz its the last time I think there was a good balance with machinery and people. Gadgets are tools to complement life. Not to be depended on for survival (Though I hardly cook )

 

My naive belief that every human was good spirited, that wars didn't exist, and that everything was in perfect harmony.

I miss that.

 

Cell phones became popular right when I graduated from college in 99. i can't imagine being a teenager and having your parents be able to contact you at all times. It really was nice not having them.

Well, I've been having it since I was 15 as well. I'm 21 now...
