Correct. There's a huge market for parting out toys like this.

I never had that carrier, but I still have all of my original GI Joe toys, including the F-14, Cobra Rattler, the Joe base, and a million more figures and vehicles.

Ditto with my original Star Wars toys, though their condition isn't as good as is my Joes, but I still have this baby:

Several years ago, I sold all of my original Transformers for $2,500. I'm still regretting that one.

I have two older cousins that were in the wheelhouse of playing with toys when the original Star Wars movies came out. They have a ton of the toys, many of the rare (yet opened) figures, and some actually quite rare playsets and toys.

My grandmother would purchase some of their toys through mail aways and catalogues, so they were able to obtain some fairly rare Star Wars stuff that way. My Dad still has video of them going batstuff crazy on Christmas day when they opened up their Millinium Falcon.

I had every chronicle sports section from every game of both rockets title runs. I even had the "lifesize" hakeem also from the chronicle.

I don't know wtf I was thinking when I threw those out. All I have now are the god-awful SI magazines and some of the original "believe it" and "clutch city" posters.

I still have all my legos though, many of them complete with the box.

    THAT'S NO MOON!!!

In the spirit of this thread: I just bought my wife the contemporary version (RX-8) of the RX-7 she totalled when she was 16 after having had it for only 2 months. I don't know if I should be excited for her or nervous.

    futants, is that a Mongoose?

I had one just like that with the same mag-wheels. It got stolen while I was playing 10-Yard Fight at the Jet Stop on Louetta and Malcomson. I know who stole it (I think) but I was never able to prove it.
