I still like Ro Khanna. Consistently sounds very sensible and has no problem speaking to a more conservative audience while defending progressive positions. But being a wealthy California democrat with deep connections to rich Silicon Valley types will probably work against him in a Democratic primary (also, being non-white and non-Christian with a foreign sounding name doesn't help in the general election).
This country is a bit too racist for that. Am I woke sjw for believing that now? You disagree and believe their unpoulatity has to do with the literal words they say? You understand I believe AOC out of popular know Democrats has he best rheorrical abilities in terms of appearing sincere. Is that a point you can address or are you just going to ignore that I keep on saying that she has a massive uphill battle in terms of electability? Or do you have literacy issues and can't read well?
Another thing with people like AOC, her relative lack of donations from corporations and special interests like real estate, pharma, health insurance etc means she has more leeway and freedom of movement to navigate and express populist economic theories than people like Harris and Biden without upsetting her donor base.
Probably true. Anyway, someone with similar views and temperament is who I'd like to see run. Ideally, also having executive experience (which Khanna doesn't have).
she just didn't have the time to run an effective Presidential campaign, also, late in the campaign when Kamala was just gaining traction that prompted the respected Iowan pollster to pull Kamala in front of trump , Elon spent > $100M to fund a PAC to spin/association thru confusion, Trump with RBG's stance on reproductive right, Elon spent > $200M to fund a PAC to spin/association thru confusionTrump with RBG's stance on reproductive right ; it cut into Kamala's lead with suburban woman votes. Biden had made the announcement not to run 3 months earlier, say in Mar 2024
Trump ran 300 million dollars of anti trans ads connecting Harris to her policy views of her 2019 campaign. She ran zero ads addressing the issue and allowed trump to control the narrative. She had more than ample time to tackle the issue but she chose not to bcz she didnt wanna upset her progressive base. Harris running for only 3 months greatly helped her. She skipped a decisive primary which would've hurt even more. This is why Trump skipped the debates. Primaries never help the canidate for the general election. Never If biden dropped out 3 months earlier it would've hurt Harris more. The RNC would've been solely about her. Biden absorbed the attack ads
I'm sure your idea of pushback is "trans people aren't your landlords hiking up your monthly rent cost after every lease renewal. Trans people aren't corporate executives that do mass layoffs to increase shareholder value" and not "Ya we don't like trans people either just not at the level of Republicans. Our bad. Republicans addressed a correct point of our excess empathy of trans people Vote for us, not the people who we acknowledge have been correct this entire time".
67% of democrats don't believe trans women should be playing with women according to the latest ny times poll. I'm sorry but you've lost this argument. Move on to more popular things like fighting billionaires
That poll answer isn't addressing what I'm stating. A poll question like that doesn't address the level of commitment and dedication to that question as an important part of their world view. Also Democrats don't push back much on trans hate as much as people like you believe they do which leaves a vacuum of right wing propaganda that has infected the minds of many suburban liberals especially due to a lot former media that had a centrist/neo-liberal slant like Twitter, WaPo, CNN being headed by conservative executives, there isn't much pushback against the "trans people are ruining women's sports" narrative in the media spaces that many centrist liberal leaning suburbanites consume. A majority of people can have soft opinions about trans women in women's sports and yet relate to the message that "trans people aren't you landlords that are hiking up your rent" because that actually rings true for many millions of Americans. That is the problem with Democrats. They are fine gaslighting millions of Americans working overtime to pay basic needs that the economy is improving while being scared to tell the voting base which the vast majority have zero negative experiences with transgenderism that this is a fake issue that is distracting from corporate executives and real estate tycoons increasing the cost of living for the median American. Telling people that the economy is okay when millions are not experiencing this and being afraid to tell the same people who have zero interactions with trans people day to day that this is a fake issue just boggles my mind. It's easier to change someone's opinion about something they don't experience than telling someone the exact opposite of their day to day experience. Someone's day to day experience is working 10 hours a day to pay rent. That day to day experience has so little to do with trans people.
She ran an awful campaign because she is incompetent. Stop making excuses. She is dumb and you continue to look dumb for defending her.
@Space Ghost use to be one of the smarter individuals on these forums back in the day. He's just been radicalized and brainwashed by social media. Its actually pretty sad what's become of him.
I feel like he can still be reasoned with. The person who is actually insane and that I dont think I can reach are El Conq and his alt Stros4bros.
Them trolls are gonna troll...kinda missing @Os Trigonum at this point if we're left with the bottom of the barrel like that prick.
