Go hang out at the Big Easy, drink a couple of cold ones, and listen to the blues. I guarantee it will make you feel better.

You could always go to a CC event if we can put another one together. The basketball/picnic at Guttersnipe's apartment complex was a blast. Even if you weren't interested in playing basketball there was still a lot of other things to do like go for a swim, play pool, or just hang out and meet fellow BBS members and eat some really good food.

Try to not to focus on why you are depressed and instead focus on what to do to get better. This thread you created is an excellent start to recovery. These things are never easy to go through, but it's not as bad when you have a support group and people that care about you.

Even if your friends aren't in town, you could try to call one or two of them to help get things off your chest. Maybe you don't even have to talk about Lynus, just talk and enjoy the conversation. Now is a good time to strengthen your friendships with your friends at school so when you go back in the fall they will be supportive and understanding of your situation. Now that you are single you will get to spend a lot more time with them and you'll be able to enjoy school in a different way.

Anyway, best of luck to you in this, and I'm sure you'll come out on top in a few weeks. Who knows, maybe Lynus will get jealous of all the attention you are getting and decide that maybe he is on the same page as you are. Time is the best healer in many situations, so don't get bummed out if things aren't great right away. You have plenty of people here that are willing to help you get through this.

PS - Please try to stay away from destructive things that you'll regret later. If it's something you wouldn't do if you were not depressed and it compromises your values then pass and think of something else. It seems like you have a great head on your shoulders so I don't think it's anything to worry about, but I thought I say it just in case.

You guys are so great! It's been great to have this support on here.

I've gotten in touch with my closest friends (although my best friend is vacationing in India). We're all doing all right and having fun.

Lynus actually called me last night. It made me feel better, if nothing else. Things are getting easier!

    Thanks again and again!
