well if you dont want the compliment... lol but no, i haven't been to mai's in ages. it completely slipped my mind. glad you brought that up!
Just years worth of making mental notes and not having much of a chance to use them til the past few years... lol. Thanks, but yeah, Mai's is always good. Really sucked when they burned down but now they're back. Really cool looking place now.
If you happen to stroll down the Asian dinner and boba tea road, take her to Bellaire. Lots of good choices there. Pho Binh on Westheimer is a great choice. They open late on weekends. Serve tons of Asian dishes AND they serve boba and dessert (cake). There's also a Yogurtland next door too, if you guys want froyo instead. If you want to avoid homeless people downtown, I'd just take the safe bet and take her ice skating at the Galleria.
If you're looking for stuff to do in the night time, I'd say go to midtown. I think midtown is more of a night scene than downtown is.
You guys are funny. Pho? For a date? Don't get me wrong I like Pho but I wouldn't take a girl on a date to go have Pho. The only way a date to go have Pho gets her vag wet is if you dump the bowl of soup in her lap.
I actually went to the Galleria around 5:30-6ish and stayed there till it closed on the 27th, it was not a madhouse. Actually, less people than I would have imagined a normal day.
La Carafe. Oldest bar in Houston in the oldest commercial building in Houston....located in Market Square. http://www.owlnet.rice.edu/~hans320/projects/lacarafe/building.html
this is just the first date. if he and his date are clicking at discovery green, it doesn't matter where he takes her. it doesn't even have to be pho, a nice relaxed atmosphere anywhere will do. if there's no chemistry, then why waste money on a more extravagant dinner?
There is always lucky strike bowling. It's nice to be doing an activity on the first date and not just looking at each other while you eat. Their food isn't too bad there either.
This is a good recommendation. If there's a good show at House of Blues, you should hit that up also. Tickets are never that expensive there.
Aquarium, discovery green, semi expensive dinner at Michealangelos = You gettin' da puss. Real talk homie.
