but really, leave the ps3 at home. you're going on vacation for a reason. if you're not tired by night time, you're not doing it right. the sun alone will be enough to bake you into submission. there's booze, too. even a beer or two should calm you down if you're not into hard drinking. plus, you've got to be ultra-naive to think that hotel/villa staff wouldn't totally gank your ps3.

for god sakes, it's a short time. get out and see the world while you're there. you won't regret it, unless you take back some "souvenirs" from red-light district or funky water.

 

Truth. Don't forget that while its beautiful there and drier than it is here, you're closer to the equator. The sun is pretty damn brutal. It'll completely drain you. Drink (bottled) water between those beers/shots/threesomes.

You a white guy? Don't forget sunscreen. And lots of it.

 

Good point here. I have had things stolen out of hotel rooms in Mexico. Be prepared to lose it, if you take it.

 

Get laid.

Trust me it won't be that hard. Unless you're playing too much PS3.

 

The island of Isla Mujeres is a nearby island located off the coast and is accessible by boat from Puerto Juarez or Punta Sam, and its very nice.

Also you can swim with dolphins in Cancun

some bars only allow people over 18.

the beach is nice in there

If you want cultural, you can visit the mayan Mayan Archaeological Sites
in Chichen Itzá or Tulum

Go to Xel-Ha there, its great there.

and you can drink water, (embottled of course) in cancun is no problem about that.

The problem with the bad water is only in the very poor neighborhoods.

They have a nice package in several hotels, you can get all inclusive for a very good deal.

You can stay all night on the night club, dancing and meeting hot chicks, then in the early morning you can go to the beach.

If you want to, you wont be bored enough to play your PSP.

When you haggle with the mexicans, always drive the price down. They will rip you off like no other. Generally they will sell you **** weed, but if you persist you can get what you are looking for.

Bluff them. Tell them you talked to another hypothetical employee who offered you a better deal on high quality and they will likely give you a better deal. If you are looking for good ****, it will likely be hard to come by. Cab drivers, vendors and other locals will be your best shot to find decent ****. The moral here is to be wary because they are looking to rip off gringo's in this sort of commerce, so always act like you have a better deal lying in wait.

I understand your desire to toke and game in Cancun. I take it you are not dumb enough to pay all that money to leave the country and "wake n' bake, bro" every day. Leisure time is important on vacation, and make no mistake about it: you need to have breaks from vacationing. The coordinating, planning and stress can add up. I had a great time toking in Mexico. Find a picaresque spot along the coast and relish the moment.

 

JD, just out of curiosity where are you staying? Is it all inclusive?
