The reason they opened the Starbucks across the street from the other one was that the original West Grey Starbucks was the most profitable Starbucks in America.

Allegedly both are now in the top 20, which is why they opened one just east of the Park on Memorial.

Your question is 47 and one of my favorites.

    My question is:

    48. Why do I always get laid in Austin and beat up in Houston?

    54. Why do cicadas make noise every year? I thought they were the 17-yr locust.

    55. Why the hell are there rats in the trees in Montrose, do we have that big of a stray cat problem or what?

    56. Why does every hamburger joe think they make good chili and brisket?

    57. Why do I have to call it "The Montrose." Is that short for like, "The Gay Area of Houston."

I don't know you Heypartner but I can make two inferences.

    a. You are older than I am.

    b. You are cooler than I am.

    Awesome, that's all, just awesome.

    58. Why do I always wind up going to a far away city when I get on 610 and am just trying to go to westheimer?

Um, Alvin Van Black is dead. R.I.P. Is Marvin really not dead? Sometimes I think there's a fist up there operating his jawline.

Alvin is still prolly more fun to hang out with.

Off for ballroom dancing with my lovely new partner from Taiwan.

congrats on the new partner. She sounds fly. hehe

I heard that Alvin was an ******* egomaniac and no one liked him at the station, whereas Marvin was actual more liked.

    59. How does LeGrouper end up in a far away city when traveling on a freeway that goes nowhere but in a circle around the city?

    Behad.

regarding 59, you know, I've never actually wondered about that. Is there a connection between LeGrouper getting lost on 610 and getting beat up in Houston?

hmmm, I'm going to have to ask my fellow Houston Area friends if they've ever wondered about that.

btw: I've been reading LeGrouper for a couple weeks now. Who cares about the Stevie Francis issue when we have LeGrouper. I'm a LeGrouper Groupie!! And Texas Stoke rox too.

Stevie Francis was an issue? I didn't realize....I thought I was just bored.

(Yeah, LeGrouper is growing on me, but I get an image of a French fish when I see his moniker.

    60. When the Rockets started Barkley's first season at 21-2, in the middle of that glorious Barkley rejuvenation of the Rockets (when we were 15-1), Hakeem got injured at halftime in the lockerroom by a glass of cold water. How does Hakeem get injured by a cold glass of wonder? I wonder if what really happened is Hakeem whined about Barkley's glory, and Barkley kicked him into Rudy's executive suite doghouse for 5 games.

    Good question...I know I don't.

Yeah, I bought a couch from him back in '82 and the cushions were made out of hashish.
