nothing wrong with making those changes. i love this team and what it could become once it grows up. i rarely used to post on the game day threads after we lost yao and tracy, but this season has rejuvenated my fandom. there is hope! harden! asik! parsons! lin!
Man, people on this board love to take small sample sizes and extrapolate them in to something bigger. The reality is that this is a young team more prone to wild swings of "good" and "bad" than more experienced teams.
so and the Rockets had the most back to backs this season of any team this season...quit making excuses...they get paid for this!!!
Harden is not the defensive problem on this team. And there's no sense in getting giddy about beating a team without Harden when that team was playing it's fourth game in five nights. Although Harden is a fair to poor defender the real defensive issues this team has is that it has no one to replace Asik's defensive impact when Asik is out of the game and our PFs are rooks and youngsters that don't know how to defend at this level. What this team needs is a close of Asik to bring off the bench behind him, another elite defensive 5 that can shut down the paint when he sits. And we either need another PF that can defend or the PFs we have need to learn how to defend bigs on this level.
And for Houston this was the 3rd game in 4 nights as well as the back end of a back to back so don't act like Houston's been sitting around resting for 2 weeks and preparing for this one game. Plus Houston was coming off of a 3 game stretch against what might be the 3 best defenses in the league as well as the 3 most physical teams in the league. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
