When saying a slang term, either current or from your day, seems odd coming from your mouth. 'Wuttup dawg?' 'Step back you jive turkey' 'Up your nose with a rubber hose' 'Sit on it'
The intern at work asked me how long I've been with the company. I told her, "Since 2004". To which she replied, "I was 10 in 2004"
When I saw Fellowship of the Ring in theaters again a few weeks ago, walking out I remembered that it came out 10 years ago. Geez
High school chicks Nothing makes me feel older than listening to high school chicks talk Everything they say just seem so ******* pointless
Remembering seeing Star Wars the day it opened in 1977 after reading your post, realizing some of you weren't even born at the time, and that the flick is viewed (again, by some of you, not you) as some stupid number in a series, when it's freakin' Star Wars.
New neighbor came by introducing himself and his girl and told us they were having a "move in" party tonight...may 50 to 100 people. I told him I'd respect his youth "cause I don't want to be that old neighbor" if he doesn't turn the neighborhood into frat row. We agreed and shook hands and I got an invite. I still walked away feeling old.
Cleverly disguised as my 10 year anniversary thread. Congrats! Mine is exactly 1 year from now I was a teenager when I signed up
- KFC was the less abbreviated Kentucky Fried Chicken. - I've heard the SAT scoring system has changed a couple of time, since being out of high school and few sections have been added. - I still use the phrase, "Straight to Video," instead "Straight to DVD." I still remember when there were only about 20 to 60 cable channels at most, even with a satellite. - I still sometimes use a TV without a remote. - I can remember Reagan, Bush, and Clinton speeches, I still remember the whole thing with Oliver North and even when Bush threw up on a Japanese politician. Remember the night the wall came down, and Mandela being release from jail, definitely cannot for get Rodney King and the LA riots. - I still remember seeing a darker skinned Michael Jackson live on TV. - I still remember when New Kids on the Block were the next big thing. - I still remember $3.00 movie tickets, lol. That was considered expensive then. - I can remember a time I didn't have one computer or even one TV in my room. - I watched the OJ chase with my dad. - I've seen The A-Team, Knight Rider, Diff'rent Strokes, The Cosby Show, Star Trek; The Next Generation; Dallas, The Love Boat, Webster, Married with Children, 21 Jump Street, GI Joe, Silver Spoons, Family Ties, old WWF and few other shows all in their original prime time runs. - I've seen Michael Jordan, Larry Bird (in his declining years), Magic Johnson (pre HIV), Nique, Fat Lever, the Bad Boys, a healthy Grant Hill and Penny Hardaway, a mellow Latrell Sprewell, a very young Shaq, Dennis Rodman (w.o colored hair) Clyde Drexler with the Blazers, Don Chaney as a Rocket's coach is probably around I started watching basketball, late 80s and early 90s. I started watching football around the same time. - I remember a day back in elementary school, I used to watch alot of kung fu movies, and everyone looked at me funny when I said Jackie Chan . . . "Who is that?" I was called ma'am a record 22 times last week.
Every year I forget how old I am and sometimes have to do the math to double check. Power Rangers is on it's 18th season and my nieces and nephews don't know who Zack and Tommy are.
