Are there enough people in Alabama to vote against Moore? We know the disgusting republicans are a lost cause. But maybe there are enough decent people to not want a pedophile in government

Here is one Republican (or ex-Republican) that gets it. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...roy-moore-beyond-stupid/ar-BBFsW32?li=BBnb7Kz Ex-RNC chair: Trump's comments on Roy Moore 'beyond stupid' A former chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC) said Wednesday that President Trump's comments dismissing GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore's accusers were "beyond stupid" and that he doesn't care about his own party. "This is beyond stupid. And there's irreparable harm that's being done to this party and to this country. Someone needs to take control here and it's certainly not the president," Michael Steele told MSNBC's Chris Matthews. Trump appeared to throw his support behind Moore on Wednesday, pointing to Moore's denial of the sexual assault allegations against him and the need for a Republican to take the seat over a liberal Democrat. Steele said Trump and former White House strategist Stephen Bannon "don't give a damn" about the women who have accused Moore or the Republican party itself. "That's what's so sickening about what the president did today. And every self-respecting Republican needs to stand up and say 'enough, you cannot side with Roy Moore on this," Steele said, saying that the nine women who have accused Moore are "credible." Trump previously backed Moore's opponent in Alabama's GOP primary run-off, Sen. Luther Strange.
Michael Steele was loathed well before the Trump stuff. Basically every conservative who stands against Trump is a pariah in the party and was probably on tenuous ground before they made that decision.
http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/retired-officer-knew-moore-liked-young-girls Retired Officer: We Knew Moore ‘Liked Young Girls,’ But Never Got A Complaint A retired police officer who worked juvenile cases in Gadsden, Alabama for 37 years said it was well known that Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore “liked young girls” decades ago, but her department never got an official complaint, so there “was really nothing we could do about it.” “I didn’t realize it until some time later that when they said he liked young girls, I just thought he liked young ladies, you know, younger than him, maybe in their 20s,” Faye Gary told Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC Tuesday. “I had no idea, or we had no idea that we were talking about 14-year-olds. But we never got a complaint on it.” She said the officers were “advised” that Moore had been suspended from the local mall because “he would hang around the young girls” who worked there and that it “got into a place of where they say he was harassing.” Police were also warned to keep an eye on Moore at sporting events and “make sure that, you know, he didn’t hang around the cheerleaders,” Gary said. Police were on the lookout “every day” for a complaint to come in on Moore, she said, as his behavior was known “not only in our department, but in the courthouse too.” Moore has been accused by multiple women of either pursing relationships or making inappropriate sexual advances toward them when they were teenagers and Moore was in his 30s. Moore has flatly denied all the allegations and has said the claims are just part of a political attack on his campaign by the media.
What irony! Here you are lecturing people about why it's OK to vote for Moore, saying that they are "debasing themselves" by making excuses for the pervert. Why? Because, according to you, they don't have to. Vote for Moore anyway! The person debasing himself is you.
