    Penmanship.

More due to the computer than typewriter because typewriters were so annoying that you only ever used them when you had to.

    Patience.

    * We're in the microwave age where we want everything quick and instantaneous - Web pages to load fast, not waiting for movies to come out in the theater, 500 Gigs of data to somehow download in 2 minutes. Everything's push push push

    * Computers & technology develops so rapidly that you always feel the need to keep up with the next best thing. True you don't HAVE to advance past Windows 95, but people some are affected by pressure to stay "with the times". And sometimes advancements come out every few MONTHS instead of every few years. and its more money to pay...

I don't get this one. Are you saying that quality music isn't made anymore? How can this be affected by computers?

Even so, I disagree about the initial premise that quality, classic music isn't made anymore. Every year there is at least one classic released that will go on the best of decade list.

and what a dubious list it will be..

disagree all you like... but with the majority of the industry and artists taking steps backwards with such an ostensive pace... some are bound to appear like stand outs.. by simply not budging as hastely..

but of course.. when you only have what's lacking exceptional quality to compare with what is downright piss poor.. what's merely mediocre will suddenly start to take the shape of actual quality.. in your eyes..
