No. Both are being looked at as head coach.

At this point, it's probably best to pilfer an up-and-coming assistant from an elite franchise. That's preferable to choosing a veteran coach from the reject pile (e.g. Scott Brooks, Sam Mitchell, Mark Jackson).

If we can't get Thibs I wouldn't mind going out of the box like Shane Battier.

I would only get Brooks if he legitimately helps us get KD

With Thibs probably going to Minny and JVG not interested, Brooks would be my #1 choice... I really liked him when he was with OKC. Won coach of the year, found a way to make 3 offensive stars work together, may lure KD, but even more important, he can get through to James. Go get him!

I may be in the minority here, but since Thibs and JVG are off the table I would love for Mark Jackson to be considered...

I know a lot of people give a lot of credit to Kerr, but it was Jackson who laid the ground work by getting them to buy into playing defense and changing the culture and mindset on how to play the game...

He also did a nice job by getting players like Green... Yeah he had issues with the front office, but the players loved him.

If you're going to keep Harden, you have to have a coach that want put up with the BS....

It is actually quite hilarious that because we made the playoffs we lost out on a pick AND to have a chance at these coaches.

    We died for nothing.

Kills me every day that so many people wanted us in the playoffs, the stupidity is mind-boggling.

Scottie can hold off until Sunday. That Wizards job isn't going anywhere.

Should have done what the Kings did. Just say Harden was banged up, sat him out and called it a season.

Only way this season could get worse is if Harden tears his MCL or something. Then this little extra 4 games will have set our franchise back at least 3 years.

Oh plz. Even if we hadnt made the playoffs do you really think that thibs would choose the rockets job over minny?
Minny gave him complete control. He would never have gotten that here.

Worst case we miss on Brooks. What a big loss. Miss on a bad coach.

It doesn't even matter, we already lost out on a draft pick and a chance at Thibs. Even if the chance is small we missed out on it.

As I said before with the pick. We had a better chance at drafting a starter quality player than we did at beating the Warriors...which was about 3% if that.

If we were a young team that need the experience sure, but we are not. Nothing is gained from this. All that's happening is the warriors are taking old red and yellow out to the shed and putting us all out of our misery.

As soon as thibs was offered 5 years and complete control our chance was 0.
And yes smth could be gained. Better chance at actually attracting free agents.
Its not like we will be the only team that will be blown out by the warriors. By next month everything about this round will be forgotten. But not even making the playoffs?
Its not only Durant. Try convincing Conley and Horford to leave their playoff teams to join a team that is such a mess that didnt even make the playoffs at all.
