We were up 2-0 in these`series.

If TMac is the "great" player all of his apologist in this thread say he is, a "great" player can at least lead his team out of the first round.

Right. Bc Mcgrady never helped us in an attempt to get out of the first round. He put up great numbers against the Mavs and Jazz. He only had 30 pts and 13 assists in game 7 against the Jazz.

Why? Bc Yao gets a free pass around here for the most part. He hasn't exactly kept his mouth shut recently. People forget so fast that Yao was a turnover machine against Utah and got killed by Boozer all series.

Yep. Barely 3 games. What a successful career Yao has had!

With this being said, I'm pulling for Yao 110%.

What fu**ing help did he have?????!!!!! Yes, Yao was there, but you know what those refs did! JVG tried to get some help but the league fined him. Donaughy admitted that that series was set! Its up to you if you want to believe him or not. Even the greatest greats couldn't do it by themselves.

A good team would have blown the Mavs out. A myriad of bad foul calls wouldn't impact the game had it not been so close to begin with.

You've completely digressed from the original debate. We're not saying he couldn't have used more help, and we're not blaming him for his injuries. We're simply saying he wasn't a rocket's legend, and the way he handled his injuries in his last season as a rocket was shameful and unprofessional.

Great, we're in agreement. I never said he was a legend, just a great player :).

I'm surprised that Tracy remains such a polarizing figure in these parts. I think it speaks to the loyalty of many of our fans, that some still commit to him despite the end of his tenure, while others feel betrayed at such a strong level.

Objectively, I dont think anyone would deny the positive impact he had on our team. Getting him for Steve Francis and Mobley was a STEAL, and its clear that his supporting cast was pedestrian at best throughout his entire career. I think there was another article written on a Magic website about how T-Mac's prime was stolen from him, wasted in the garbage of bad supporting casts. A worthwhile read if you ask me.

I also think that you have to accept the fact that Tracy made significant judgment errors towards the end of his tenure in a Rockets uniform. He clashed with RA on occasion, his injury reporting prior to getting micro fracture was questionable at best, and he admittedly gave up on a few plays, most notably the one that Clutch posted on his 'the day T-Mac lost houston' article.

All in all, I dont have anything against him. I wish him the best and hope he's able to recuperate. Talents like his dont come along everyday, and I believe that his playing style early in his career- attacking the rim with utter disregard for the defense or his own body- cost him dearly in the long run. His frame was fragile to start, and perhaps in a stronger supporting cast he wouldnt have been required to do so much. But thats all speculation, and its all we have left.

I almost feel that its unfair to bash him for the type of player he is now. He's a shell of his former self, and it irks me when people use his late Rockets/Knicks/Upcoming Team X tenure to justify their claims of him being overrated. The best he can be for any team is 10 points a night. His playing style is not conducive to becoming a bench contributor, and he requires the ball in his hands for stretches to make plays....it'll be interesting to see what happens for him next.

I agree, very well said also. However, I never believe it's ok to quit on your team. I think that is why I and many other Rocket's fans do have something against him. He is also good, not great. :p

I've always admired his talent but never been a fan of the man called TMac. IMO he just happens to be one of those people who thinks the world owes him something. Even with all the god given talent and the 100+ million Les gave he he seems to go around whining and feeling cheated he didn't have Shaq like Kobe and Wade are 3 amigos like the celtics. That is his biggest fault. It is one thing to be confident, ala Jordan, another to be even eccentric ala Rodman and another to be egocentric and self absobed as if the world revolves around you. The thing is his clock is ticking and a major attitude adjustment is necessary before he turns to another Latrell. "I just trying to feed my children".

Tmac is a waste of talent but in the end he will regret not making the most of these years. He needs someone who cares enough about him to b**** slap the boy and tell him as much. The problem is all he allows around him are yes sir Mr. Tmac people.

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bulls agreed to terms with free agent Keith Bogans on Friday, according to a source with knowledge of the deal.

The deal is for two years, with only one guaranteed, according to the source.

Bulls.com writer Sam Smith reported that the deal is worth about $2.5 million.

Bogans, a seven-year veteran, started 50 games for the San Antonio Spurs last season, averaging 4.4 points and shooting 35.7 percent from 3-point range.

I hope TMac and especially his fans can become somewhat humble after they realized that they just lost to Cooks and Bogans in competing for a vet min contract.

To raise those 40pts/10rbs numbers again and again is not only annoying, but also very stupid. That mind set is the main reason why TMac does not get the contract from the Bulls.
