And you're basing the difference between good and great through your professional sports opinion?? To me players that go to the hall of fame are considered legends. Hakeem, clyde, Jordan, so on and so forth.

And to answer your last question, no i do not think Tracy is hall of fame bound as of right now. I think he would have to make a strong comeback and win a chpionship or two.

I'm sure the Bulls' GM will regret not signing McGrady earlier. He and Stromile Swift would have made a tandem surely good enough to win the entire Chinese league. On that team Tracy would surely be a great facilitator.

Yes but not to the point were both sides exhaust an issue well beyond any point of reasonable discussion.

To be honest, there is no point anymore, on either side of the table but it's just endless droning on and on like playing a game of tic tac toe with no end.

The same could be basically said about Yao. He has played like 2.5 games in the second round..

    Just sayin..

He helped us get out of first round. Only time I ever saw T-Mac in the 2nd round was in street clothes.

Comparing Yao to McGrady isn't smart.

I think it just recently reached that point. Nonetheless, you make a valid point. Moving on...

Ur wrong. It has EVERYTHING to do with injuries. While he was healthy he was still arguably top 5 in the NBA in Houston. What people dont realize is he DID play thru injury here up until his last season (in which he handled it wrong). But the guy was fantastic in Housotn. Unfortunatley JVG had him doing everything on offense, refusing to put players around him that could produce without him being on the court.

Sigh....the last question was obviously completely rhetorical. There's not a chance in hell Mcgrady is a hall of famer.

And it doesn't take a professional sports opinion to recognize the difference between good and great. Good= Mcgrady in his prime posting good stats, but never leading us, or any team, past the 1st round. Great= Hakeem posting record stats and leading us to two championships. I've explained this several times in several different ways. If you don't understand it now, I don't think you ever will, so I'll just leave it at that.

Ok so show me what help Mcgrady had in the playoffs? Until Morey came and boosted up the team, our supporting cast was crap, and thats putting it lightly. David wesley! Juwon howard? Jon barry? Wow... Its too bad when he does get the supporting cast, he gets injured..

you TOF's just do not get it - for the bizillionth time...NOBODY "HATES" MCGRADY B/C HIS BODY BROKE DOWN. we hate him because he is a selfish, gutless, heartless quitter and a diva who over and over again put himself above the team.

    do you?

if you are so confident will you take me up on my bet?

i challenge any and all TOFs to take my bet - ill take any and all challengers.
$50 to the tip jar that mcgrady does not average over 15 ppg next season.

PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTHS ARE TOFS!!!

I'm starting to wonder if you even watch the Rockets..

This is the 2005 playoff roster the Rockets rolled on to the court.

    Tracy Mcgrady
    Ryan Bowen
    David Wesley
    Bob Sura
    Yao Ming

This is the Mavericks roster for the 2005 playoffs.

    Josh Howard
    Dirk Nowitzki
    Jason Terry
    Michael Finley
    Erick Dampier

    WOW.

And Mcgrady carried us through that series and we lost in game 7. Technically we shouldn't have even made it to game 7.

In the 2007 playoff series vs Utah we had

    Tracy Mcgrady
    Rafer Alston
    Yao Ming
    Shane Battier
    Chuck Hayes

Bench: Luther Head, Juwon Howard, and Mutombo.

    Utah:

    Deron Williams
    Carlos Boozer
    Mehmet Okur
    Derek Fisher
    Andrei Kirilenko

    Bench: Matt Harpring
    Gordan Giricek
    Paul Millsap
    Jarron Collins

As much as I HATE the Jazz, I have to admit they had the better team.

The next years playoff in 2008 was pretty much a rematch. But we added our youngsters in Carl Landry and Brooks.

Our starting center vs Utah that year was Mutombo.

    Lets not get it twisted.
