he must look horrible in the workouts. If he has shown a single flash of his old all star self in these work outs with chicago and LA he would have gotten a contract. Guess Tmac is really done

    this is really easy.

If I have to choose between the Rockets or Tracy McGrady. I choose the Rockets.

If I had to choose between your opinion and the tmac only fans vs CLUTCH?

this is so beyond easy. CLUTCH #1. 99.

The Rockets had it right, we traded him and got back players who play and the Knicks got rid of some salary cap to sign Amare.

It goes one way. The Rockets way.

we aren't crucify him, we just think his fans are r****ds to think he's that great of a player cause we've obviously seen better, past and present.

It's pointless to blame tmac himself....the guy has scoliosis...he wasnt suppose to even play much to begin with and he got a long and pretty good career out of it....but it was only a matter of time before his body broke down. The human body can't keep doing what tmac was doing all out of whack. His knee and shoulder were already showing signs. His hip would have been next and maybe his other shoulder. I think he was screwed either way and felt it was best to try something outside the box to repair it, because having a funky natural aligment will never truly allow him to heal.

I agree that the Rockets improved my getting Martin and Hill for T-mac, because obviously, Mcgrady's days in Houston were done.

Now to your last point. So you are saying that Mcgrady wasn't a great player when he was here? I hate to bring up stats but I will.. To think Mcgrady wasn't great when he was here, you must be r****ded...

This post is 100% sane and accurate. I, too, suffer from scoliosis. My basketball playing is very limited at this point in my life (40's). I suffer from many aches and pains throughout my body due to the unfortunate alignment of my back.

I have no emotional or financial investment in T-Mac's career, hence no looming elation or disappointment is on the horizon for raj.

Look at his teammates who are on the floor, and count how many who are still playing in the NBA..

It wasn't as much about the injuries as it was about the way T-Mac addressed and handled them. Plenty of players have careers that have been plagued with injury, but they haven't been criticized because they handled themselves properly when injured. Here's an excerpt I pulled from Tinman's post of Clutch's article. This should clear things up for you...

"T-Mac took two weeks off to get in shape, proclaimed that he was now back to his normal self, then two weeks later announced on his own through ESPN, without so much as a Post-It note to the Rockets organization, that he was shutting it down to undergo microfracture surgery."

Do you count Tmac as not playing in the NBA too? What are the rules for this game?

To close the discussion.. I understand that Mcgrady didn't handle his last year(s) in Houston the best way, hence all the hate. I understand if you don't like the guy anymore, or if you never did. Mcgrady gave some of his best years to Houston, but its unfortunate that his body broke down. You find me a perfect human to play basketball who never got injured and I'll buy you a steak.

Anyway, to say that Mcgrady wasn't a great player in his prime with Houston is foolish.

And why do you get to close this discussion?

Mcgrady was a good player in his prime in Houston, not a great player. There is a difference. Greatness comes with winning, integrity, heart, and selflessness. None of which he possessed. That is purely our point. I can't speak for Tinman or DD, but I think they would agree with me. Do you think if Mcgrady won the MVP during his time in Houston he would have ever talked about how it was team effort and then ask his teammates to raise the trophy with him? No, T-Mac would have only seen that as a personal accolade.

So, no, T-mac was not "great". If he was great, he would have led us to a championship or at least out of the first round.

So you get to define what "great is?"

    Oh, I love it.

I said greatness comes with...I didn't define it. And the idea of "greatness" is pretty well understood in the sports arena. There are clearly people who are good and there are those who are regarded as great. Usually great players end up in the Hall of Fame. Do you think Mcgrady will be in the Hall of fame?
