jeez, who cares...I'm sure most people know the difference but just make a mistake because they're writing on a sports message board and not a term paper.
I never understood that guy's thought process when doing that. We're on a sports forum. Many of us could not care less about perfect grammar, as long as we're understood, it works. Then this guy has the nerve to correct people, but what's really puzzling to me is the comments he has left are not grammatically correct! If you're going to make a big deal out of it, then you should at least be consistent and practice it yourself as well.
And while I try to refrain from correcting folks here (no it isn't me), as there are many who do a fine job of that already, many of us prefer not to have to decode people's posts on said board. I agree about consistency, but being proficient in the lost art of literacy is something to which we should all aspire. On another note, someone get the amberlamps to Swoly's place, two pages on grammar full of craziness and he's nowhere to be found?
So you were the the putting all that crap on my rep. board. He would click on reputation button then on the comments section he would correct my grammar. He did that like 10 times. Punk a $$
THIS!!! By far my biggest pet peeve. I've made it my mission to point it out to the unfortunate ones that use it every chance I get.
I hate the your vs you're, arghh!! maybe I make mistakes in grammar, because english is not my first language, but I dont know why, your instead of you're, gets me on my nerves.
Misuse of "then" aside, I just received the following rep: """worst?......WORST?!......WORSE!!!!!""" Three possibilities: 1. Rep joke went completely over my head. B. Post joke went completely over THEIR head. 7. The masked grammar man rides again!
